The SVA held its own? Link to that, I would love to see it.
Which is the reason why we could not win in Vietnam. We could not attack certain targets in north veitnam because of the possibility of china retaliating against us.
Either you've got a mental block or you're to young remember our forces in Cambodia and Laos. Now run that by us again. Oh I forgot you read only Progressive revised history.

I dont care what Russia or China do with oil from the ME. Really I dont.
Are we going to defend, protect and buy up every resource to keep it out of the hands of the "enemy"?
If that is the case, screw it. Lets just declare war on them and get it on.
Ahhh yes we are, we are going to spend as many taxpayer dollars and grant as many tax breaks to USofA big oil as it takes to keep oil out of the hands of 'our' enemies.
Of course we could also start exploiting our own oil and gas resources more aggressively (which would incidentally put a lot of our own citizens back to work) if only the Greenies didn't have a lock on our current administration.
Have to remember, a totally different peoples. Japan, knew it was beaten. Germany after the Nazis were removed and tried. Became an ally based on the fact that millions of Germans lived in the US already, as well as Italians.
Drill baby drill is as worn out as trickle down and domino effect... need new material.
It wouldn't put a lot of citizens back to work as the work is rather specialized in the exploration game. Working an oil rig isn't for many citizens. and many of the new guys will be on workman's comp within a year, dangerous and you have to be young, or desperate- or a combination of the two. I've known a few IT guys who took their retrain into programming, course they tap along without the full 10...
The Cons had several administration's worth of drillers but you seem to forget that part and just blame this administration...
That is impossible to do with a foreign, occupying force and a divided people. We could not bring them democracy or stability, that should have been recognized beforehand. You can't force freedom.
You can force stability.
If we are going to war with Iraq for the evils of Saddam, then one evil doer is as good as any.Ahhh yes we are, we are going to spend as many taxpayer dollars and grant as many tax breaks to USofA big oil as it takes to keep oil out of the hands of 'our' enemies.
Who would you declare war on? China and Russia or the Middle Eastern countries? China and Russia are pure suicide and in case you didn't pay much attention to the debacle Iraq was, we can't afford seizing one oil rich nation much less the entire region. And as Iraq further rubbed our noses in it, taking the ground is rather easy, holding it and making any use of it is a whole 'nother cat.
50 years of bribing our way to dominate the oilfields of the Middle East would be chump change to trying to conquer it by military force.
The quickest way to third world status will be to try and take by military force the entire Middle East.
Do you really hate your country and those who would die to 'get it on' THAT much????
You can force stability.
Or maybe our being there in the first place.
I said if thats the case, I didnt say I agree with it.Ahhh yes we are, we are going to spend as many taxpayer dollars and grant as many tax breaks to USofA big oil as it takes to keep oil out of the hands of 'our' enemies.

This administration is the one that pretends the Bakken field doesn't exist, and this administration opposes Keystone XL. You need to update your material.
How long? How long was Germany down and out? Not long. People were rebuilding on their own before Hitler was dead. And look how long it took.
Staying there wasn't a very good idea, either. We should've just declared it a US Territory.

What a total cluster mess Iraq has turned out to be....

Was or wasnt, it wasnt our problem. And was it worth the billions and lives cost?Yeah.
Because the Middle East was a model of stability before that evil George Bush came along.
Was or wasnt, it wasnt our problem. And was it worth the billions and lives cost?
Yes, the US appears to be breaking up but it was not the lives lost or the money spent that did it; it was the American people turning on themselves. The corrupt media and politicians, who voted for a war before they voted against it, or some such malarkey, turned against the President and their own country. The Left cannot restrain itself in their anti American attitudes, even when their country is at war.We kicked them out of Kuwait and the Iran Iraq war was over.
And at this rate, how long before the "large scale massacres" pale in comparison.
And you didnt answer my question. Was it worth it?
Our investment in lives and money have helped almost break OUR nation.
Show me the difference. We bailed on Iraq, we bailed on Viet Nam.
We could have taken down every air plane Iraq had with air power. Not just warn them about the no fly zone.
How many of your family is buried at Arlington over a worthless war?
