Religious family abandons U.S., gets lost at sea

Jesús está en Tijuana!

The best part is when he puts the beer over his head at the shrine then he "cracks" it...

"a beer"

"Jesus"

"haaaaayyyy I left my wallet at the house."

"I don't speak Spanish"

Absolutely! It is a great movie. Of course you realize that you and I may be the only people here who think so.

Here you go.

That is the funniest part of any movie ...

Paul Rodriguez is like: "Jeezzzuuussss" with a beer above his head ahahahahahaha

It shows the painting of Jesus...

this great nation was started by people just like them leaving a country they felt persecuted in to start a new life somewhere else. they risked their lives and that of their family and many did die. We even have a national holiday in their honor. So be care what you criticize

OMG. You REALLY went THERE? Like their experience is anything at all like the real persecution the people who left England were experiencing. These pampered, fully enfranchised cry - babies don't even know what the meaning of the word persecution is. Dear god in heaven, you almost make me want to pray for our spoiled, ignorant populace, and I am an atheist.

You do realize that people were imprisoned and executed for religious differences in early modern England, right?

I guess all that praying they did on the ocean didn't help much, huh?

It's like that old joke:

One day it began to rain very heavily. It kept raining and a big flood came.
The man climbed up on the roof of his house, and knew that he would be ok. God would protect him.

It kept raining and now the water had reached his waist. A boat came by and a guy in the boat said: “Hey, jump in. We will take you with us”.
“No thanks”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me”. He sent the boat away.

It kept on raining and now the water had reached his neck. Another boat came by and a guy in the boat said: “You look like you could need some help. Jump in and we will take you with us”.
“No”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me. Don’t worry about me”. The boat sailed away.

It still rained and the water now reached his mouth. A helicopter came by and a guy in the helicopter threw down a rope and said: “Hi there my friend. Climb up. We will rescue you”.
“No”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me. I know he will”. The helicopter flew away.

It kept on raining, and finally the man drowned.

When the man died, he went to heaven. When entering Heaven, he had an interview with God.
After giving a polite greeting and sitting down, the man asked: “Where were you. I waited and waited. I was sure you would rescue me, as I have been a firm believer all my life, and have only done good to others. So where were you when I needed you?”

God scratched his confused looking face and answered: “I don’t get it either. I sent you two boats and a helicopter”.

I actually almost related that story to someone yesterday because it just happened to fit really well. Sadly, I couldn't make myself care that much so I shrugged and walked away instead.

Oh the rich metaphor of creationists getting lost at sea on foundering upon the cruel factuality of the ocean.

This just shows how spoiled american citizens are or the lack of intelligence the average citizen has. You are trying to leave the the U.S because you feel that your religious freedom is being suppress???? Where in the hell are you going to go that has more religious freedoms than the U.S?

Ignorance is going to be the down fall of this country.

I hope so. Whether they pay or not is another thing.

I'm sure you'll be acknowledging how churches (i.e., religious people) in this country provide untold amounts of charity and aid to the poor, and disaster victims.....right? Next time you disparage religious people, you think about that.

Apparently all religious people are immune to criticism forever because some religious people donate to charity.

I think there is a tale tale message from God in this incident. God wanted them back to USA, but not to religion.

This whole thread reeks of hate for religion. Read Post # 6.

They knew what they were getting into...

That's really messed up. Also, they put their kids' lives in jeopardy. Dumbasses.
Meh. People put their kids lives in jeopardy when they go on vacation every day. I personally dont care that they decided they wanted to take their show on the road. I am upset that they brought them back however.

You misunderstand, American is one of those people who despite all their individualist rhetoric will readily praise or curse you for the actions of other individuals with only the smallest of commonalities if it suits him. For example, "No these people didn't waste taxpayer dollars because other completely seperate people who share a small commonality of also being religious have donated to charity in the past."

Sorry American, but the fact that these religious people did something stupid is not excused by the fact that other religious but completely unrelated people did something good.

I think they were really stupid, and we had to spend money on them because of their own stupidity.

On that we agree. Maybe God intended for them to remain adrift at see or drown. Someone just messed with the fabric of time!
