Fox News Poll: Phony scandals? Not to voters

A Fox News national poll released Thursday finds that 78 percent of voters think the questions over the administration’s handling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi should be taken seriously. Just 17 percent call it a phony scandal.
The attack, on the anniversary of September 11, killed four Americans -- including the U.S. ambassador.
Meanwhile, 69 percent of voters say the National Security Agency’s electronic surveillance of everyday Americans is serious, while 26 percent call that a fake scandal.
By a margin of 59-31 percent, voters are also more likely to view the seizure of reporters’ phone records by the Justice Department as serious rather than phony.
And while the White House sees a Congressional investigation of the IRS targeting of conservative groups as a “distraction,” 59 percent of voters take it seriously. Some 33 percent agree with the administration that it’s fake.

I take this poll with a grain of salt like I do most polls (most are based on demographics) but that doesn't mean these scandals aren't "real."

Ahhhh the smell of right wing rant early in the morning!

The poll doesn't ask if any of the issues rise to the level of say Watergate or Iran/Contra like the right wingnuts are constantly trying to claim-(is it just me but both of those right wing scandals are our benchmark for scandals) it simply asked if there are unanswered questions, needs more investigation- but doesn't attach the label scandal... :roll:

And then the classic attempt to attach those claiming there isn't a scandal to 'birthers' and 9-11 tinfoil hatted folks as if they have the same numbers and are as much a part of the fringe...

Last poll I saw was in 2011 and had less than 10% of Americans believing President Obama was born in a foreign country.

I didn't bother to read the posed link in the op (sorry) because I thought you were pointing to the Fox News poll that was up on their site yesterday...

Either way I don't think the general public is informed enough to have an opinion on the issue considering democrats who are allegedly informed are ignoring the evidence for obviously partisan reasons...

Talk about a loaded question, first off the question makes the claim that its Obama's administration's handling of the terrorist attack that resulted in four dead Americans, it doesn't place the blame on the hands of the attackers but rather the President. Secondly, what about people like me think that we should take things like Benghazi seriously but also that the "scandel" about it is just a bunch of hot air being blown around by Republicans looking to play politics and avoid work? How should I answer? Well given the two I'd probably pick it should be taken seriously.
