I am not holding anything back....I don't like Clarence Thomas, I have never liked him and never will like him....It's just an unimportant fact of life....

You don't like him, as obvious by your own posts, because he does not go out of the way to rule in favor of things that benefit a particular skin-color that he happens to share.


Otherwise, it would seem you are back peddling your own statements.

I have always been down on those who espouse conspiricy theories---idiots like Glen Beck, Hannity and the darling Rush Limbaugh----but I have a conspiricy theory of my own and that is that the far right, republican, conservative, evangelical hierarcy has an "Agenda" which is detrimental to our Democracy.........

No, I am not backpedaling on anything.......He has voted with the conservatives on issues that are not just detrimental to African Americans, but also to Latinos, poor people of all colors and young people.......What is your point? To show that race is still an issue in this country? Of course it is......
 
You ask about why someone doesn't like Thomas and they will all point to the hearings and his supposed inappropriate behavior with what's-her-name.

But if you ask that SAME PERSON about Bill Clinton(who they most likely love and admire) and his supposed behavior with various women and they are magically able to look past all of those incidents.

I graduated from 9th grade before you were born, and I'm not a Hobbit, so I don't deal with riddles..........Are you trying to say that it is a Republic and not a Democracy? Either way you folks are trying to irradicate everything that makes this country great---80 years of social programs established for the people and by the people..........

You may be right, Juanita. I certainly don't want to remove the voting rights for anyone, and all sides could agree on that.

There were no communisty dictatorships in the 1900s (1900-1909) as the first communist state only came to be in the 1910s. As far as the world advancing since then, how many well off countries exist without social programs? Please, please, tell me your knowledge of geopolitics is better than your understanding of how centuries work?

So it wasn't the 1900s then, it was the first decade of the 1900s, a period when the United States had the strongest and freest economy in the world and people from every nation were doing their best to emigrate there.

Im not saying social programs are all bad.

Im saying expansion of them.... and continued use of them leads to a society dependent upon the government for sustenance. That is not something we should WANT.

Thus we should DISCOURAGE the use of these programs in every way possible.
