A victory for the morning-after pill [W:107:233]

Re: A victory for the morning-after pill

2nd paragraph:

There are other alternatives other than comparing vaccines to morning after pill. So yes, you presented a false dichotomy by comparing the two as there exist many more examples of situations where parental consent is not necessary in order to take medication.

haha. you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

I can compare a pizza to a calzone. Other examples may exist. false dichotomy.

poser.

Somebody doesn't like being called out on their terrible comparison. :)

Re: A victory for the morning-after pill

And wouldn't forcing a 15 year old to carry a pregnancy against her will be doing quite a bit of harm?

The funny thing about that is they don't have a right to their body and parents are allowed to do many things that do harm right now. Should that be considered a harm? Sure, but will it be? Probably not. The way the country views children is ****ed up like that.

And guess who's problem that is ? The 15 year old's..................Not mine...........................

Re: A victory for the morning-after pill

i thought liberals where for womens health. i guess you don't care

Yeah, read it and weep. You really think I lay awake at night worried sick about some stupid ho who gives it up to anyone with a hard on ? If you do, you're mad.......................

Thanks for you opinion. Really, this isn't that big a deal. The morning after pill stops fertilization from occurring, so this isn't really part of the abortion debate, but solely a right to the body issue. Since according to law children lack such a right(really what is that about?), and the act itself doesn't cause a harm according to the state, there really isn't a sound reason to not allow parents to do whatever they want when it comes to the issue.

Re: A victory for the morning-after pill

A "victory" ? WTF did anyone win ?

Hey, why don't we invent a pill where any 12 year old girl can just **** her brains out, and then with this pill, no one could ever know. No physical proof at all ! Only what she says, and what's in her head as a result of her lover or lovers !!!

So then we must really win !!! Victory for society !!!!!!!

Jackasses !

Did I say somewhere that I am advocate of "Children Who Like To Play At Being Adults" rights ?............................

Really, I have no idea where you're going with your arguments. :3oops:

Re: A victory for the morning-after pill

then what will happen will it cause problems with the fetus or the mother?
why im asking because we all know many young ignorant girls will do just that they will take the pill when they are pregnant to try to terminate it

plan B just prevents ovulation.
If a girl or woman is already pregnant it will not harm the fetus.

Re: A victory for the morning-after pill

anybody else agree with this

a victory for the morning after pill but a defeat for parental rights and a defeat for the right to life
"

and if so can you tell me in your opinion or facts how parental rights have been violated and how it impacts right to life?

hyperbole much?
could you invent a bigger fallacy and strawman?

Where I am going is building on "personal responsibility"................Like, stop trying to hold everyone collectively responsible for the actions of other individuals, regardless of their age.......................

Let us rejoice that kids can acquire the MAP without going through their parents.

What a "victory" ............

do you have a source to verify that? was studies done to show their is no harm to the fetus

Re: A victory for the morning-after pill

Parental consent is important and I generally support it, but when the implantation window is 48 hours there is really no time to lose. The time it takes to explain the situation to a parent and give them time to decide could be the difference between pregnancy or not... and I support giving women of all sexually-active ages the choice over whether or not they want to be pregnant. It shouldn't be up to the parents. Pregnancy is a medical issue just as much as preventing it is, and under aged women who get pregnant are more prone to death from childbirth than other age groups.

plan B just prevents ovulation.
If a girl or woman is already pregnant it will not harm the fetus.

Plan B prevents implantation, not ovulation. Only the birth control pill can prevent ovulation.

you can call it a bad comparison as a matter of opinion , but calling it a false dichotomy makes you ignorant.

Do you support abortion? If so, what is the harm in letting parents be involved in either decision?

Who decides the "sexually active ages" ? Or is that up to the kid ............ err "woman" ?

It is a false dichotomy whether your accept it or not. We don't have to treat Plan B as we do vaccines because there is more than one alternative.

Well, they obviously weren't very effective in preventing their daughter from spreading her legs, why would you think they'd be any "help" at this point ?...............................

Some evenings your "points" are more irrelevant than others. This is one of those. Good evening bonz...

Actually, it's not up to kid either, it's up to their body ie hormones, genetic predisposition etc. Sexual activity is not something which you really choose to want to have anymore than you can pick and choose which gender you'll be attracted to. It simply kicks off, and then it's up to the person to decide whether they'll act on it or not. The only way you'll keep your kids from sexual activity if they really want to act on sexual attraction is by keeping them locked in their room 24/7. And even then, there is always masturbation which you'll have to pretty much "beat" (I like puns) out of them if you don't want them doing it.
