Edward Snowden: the whistleblower behind revelations of NSA surveillance

English is my primary language, though I can get by in Spanish and am somewhat familiar with German.

Thus, I have no problem understanding the language of the Constitution and the Fourth Amendment. I've read enough good books about the Constitution and its underlying legal principles that I understand what it means.

Really, it's not difficult. My guess is that you understand it as well as I do, but you buy into the nonsense of the GWOT and men in black robes telling you what words mean.

Independent thinking--it's most refreshing.

You're not thinking independently. You're a being a sheep.

I wonder what the first languages of those federal judges are. Do you think they're not native English speakers? What happens when two native English speakers disagree about the interpretation of something? Is the default just "Henry David is correct"? lol

Did you admit that federal judges know more than you about constitutional law or not?

Bet you won't answer truthfully. lol When someone can't do that in an argument...you know they lost.

Because many other countries have extradition agreements with the US.

Why would they have an extradition agreement with the US if they all hate the US? That's weird.

There is something called extradition, which is why he cannot just travel anywhere. And yes, most of the world DOES hate the US. And you can't scroll back one page to look up my name?

I don't have many agreements with people I hate. Why would I do that? Why do they?

Hmmmmmmm

Are you saying the majority of people in every country that has an extradition agreement with the US loves our government?

I'm thinking too damn independently for you, and we both know it.

That courts can and do reverse themselves illustrates their fallibility, even within the system. Crazy decisions like the Obamacare decision, and many many others, illustrate the political nature of the court, much to Madison's chagrin.

Hmmmmmmm

Do you work? How many of your co-workers do you dislike?

Doesn't like 50% of the population agree with you? How is that independent? lol

You prize yourself so much in being different that it becomes an end in and of itself, it's kinda funny/weird.

So did you say that federal judges knew more than you or not?

You disagree with something. That's fine. When you become adamant that it's entirely impossible for anyone else to be right, you become a zealot, a joke.

Good to see he made it to Russia, that champion of human rights.

Their current "human rights" record is exponentially better than our own! Your sarcasm is grounded in fantasy.

None. I wouldn't agree to give them **** if they didn't.

Yet, I bet if you disliked them you would still cooperate with them and work as a team. Think of the world in from that perspective.

If a country wants to be able to extradite runaways to their own country sometimes diplomacy is required and they may have to give the same to another country, even one they generally dislike.

I think you are the first person I have ever met who thinks the majority of the world LIKES our government.

I didn't say they liked. I don't think the majority of the world cares. But I'm very curious as to why you brought it up in any way, shape, or form if you admit it has nothing to do with the situation whatsoever.

That was what I was driving at.

Your level of maturity is not winning you any arguments.

lol?

You guys are talking in absolute statements and my laughing at you is the problem in this conversation? Interesting.

Did they? Or did he plead guilty to a misdemeanor that he did indeed commit, while being exonerated of all espionage charges?

Misdemeanor of misusing the agency’s computer system? Seriously? Every Government worker is guilty of that be it IRS employees, SEC, FCC, DoD, and the White House. That was a bull**** charge. The Government gave him a take it or leave it position and when you are $150,000 in debt, you tend to take something despite the truthfulness to it.

Ah, so the entire rest of the world is afraid. Okay. Fear or respect, no biggie.

You misread that. Snowden wouldn't travel to certain countries because of US presence in those countries, like NATO members because CIA and FBI would be waiting for him when he landed.

Umm...no, everyone isn't guilty of that. Do you even know what that consists of?

I'm guessing you don't. Please, the actual legal definition.

No, I didn't misread that. I was playing the devil's advocate.
The rest of the world can't stop the FBI and CIA anyway (apparently, although they could if they wanted to) so what does it matter?

So, what is the old boy up to today?

Countries with extradition treaties can't stop them or rely on US Government Aid (carrot/stick approach). Countries without can.. which is why Russia is a perfect place to go.

Good god. Look up, the point is flying over your head. I know very well how extradition works. I was leading Geoist to a point.
