Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181, 607]

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

Shouldn't mods use the features of the forum and understand why they exist?

Do you notice how I failed to use the feature here myself? Do you also notice how it needlessly interferes with the conversions flow?

I'll ask again... do you have anything pertinent to say on the topic of the thread? It would be nice to see SOMETHING from you.

Lets see if you fail to use the feature again. I'll just wait and see.

So, you have nothing pertinent to add to the topic of this thread.

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

Well, yes. How do you think you'd tell the guy's 10-year-old son about it? Door #2??

I think you're kidding yourself in a galactic way to believe it wouldn't bother a 10 year old. Daddy is now Mommy.... If this guy wants to be a woman that his business, but don't feed me bull**** that his kid would be just fine with it.

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

It's important that I point out your ignorance on this topic, I wouldn't want some unsuspecting poster to come in here and falsely believe that anything you have said in this thread has any credibility. Some people enter threads towards the end. This way, no matter where people enter, they can laugh at you.

No, it's not important. You're a broken record repeating "you're ignorant" and "you're oversimplifying" garbage.

Of course it's important. When someone posts things that are inaccurate or that confuse opinions with facts, it is key to point this out so that the uninformed do not believe that what is being posted has merit.

So, similar to Henrin, I am curious as to whether you have anything pertinent to add to this thread.

One thing I hadn't thought of that hit me this morning when I read your post: Kids would tease him unmercifully if they knew -- which is highly likely. That would be devastating.

Mental illness is a terrible thing.

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

The misgendering in this thread is sickening.

It's her people, her. It's not that ****ing complicated. :doh

At least some people probably don't realize that one should refer to the pronoun that is consistent with how a transgendered person self-identifies, and not the gender of his/her birth. In this case, as the ex-Seal self-identifies as a woman, the feminine pronoun should be used (she/her).

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

You know what bugs me, really? I'm supposed to accept people for who they are, but when it comes to this topic everyone wants me to accept people for who they are not.

I'ts just a matter of not being a dick.

A person grew up feeling out of place in their body, they try and fix it, and you're first response is to **** on then, or say "you still have a dick, your a man."

honestly, it's just a matter or not being a douche bag and trying to treat people with respect.

if you insist on calling a person a he, dispite the fact that this person has suffered their entire life with feeling like a woman in a mans body, and going through a terrefying transformation to try and rectify that, and you decide to just blatently be a douche about it so be it, but then you deserve everyone to call you a **** (C-word).

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

Thanks for your service. I hope this decision works out for you.

I would be one of the ones who was not sure. If I had to guess, I would have gone with the gender that person identifies with. Unless I was trying to be a jerk...then I would just try to force my view of that person on them.

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

And as I stated, you are thinking black and white and are incorrect. There is far more here than just an either/or issue.

She took the risk of ostracizing her children to do what she thought was best for her. There's no arguing that point.

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

And this is why you are ignorant on these subjects. You ignore science.

I only ignore science, falsely called so.

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

First, it's this guy. No operation changes the sex no matter how hard you want it to. All it is some very expensive permanet "makeup." It's disgraceful to spit in the face of God and say He messed up.

Really. You must think lipstick is from the devil.

Re: Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out[W:181]

Really. You must think lipstick is from the devil.

Did I say anything was wrong with makeup? No. I'm saying this guy is still a guy no matter what he thinks.

I don't think the intent is to spit in the face of God. But surely we can all find compassion for those so troubled in body and mind. I really can't imagine, and I'm pretty sure you can't either, so maybe the focus should be on "Judge not...." and the timbers in our own eyes. That's more than enough to keep me occupied.

Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out - ABC News

Pity the poor fool who decides to give THIS gal a hard time.

I don't buy one ounce of that story - it has propaganda written all over it.

This is how urban legends are born. Some idiot goes on record in a book - everyone buys the story and then 6 months later the truth comes out and it ends up on page 95 in the local newspaper mentioned as a blurb...

No middle ground? No possibility that her children will be understanding? Accepting?
