Nelson Mandela admitted to hospital in 'serious condition' [W:47:W:117]

Oh that and 40 years of rumors substantiated by not just one, many.

I just posted one.

:lamo
Remember those rumors of all those actors being members of a communist party too
But question remains... So what?

Yeah, the white supremacists and racist law enforcement in apartheid-era South Africa are definitely credible sources on whether or not Mandela is a communist.

Here's a thought: if any of you who say that Mandela is "an evil commie" were completely oppressed in every aspect of your lives based only on circumstances outside of your control, you'd probably become a violent revolutionary and radical as well. I have a feeling that not many of you would come to forgive your oppressors, as Mandela did.

Credits to spud:

As soon as you're systematically and brutally oppressed in every facet of your existence, you can do just that.

If you want to get some perspective on what a violent, communist overthrow is really like, Zimbabwe is a far better example than South Africa. Mandela could have easily made himself dictator and then launched racist land policy against whites, like Mugabe. But he didn't.

Not saying he was ever tempted to do so, but he really couldn't have done that.

FORMER South African president Nelson Mandela is on life support at a Pretoria hospital, according to officials and members of his clan.

For the love of God, let him go and stop prolonging the inevitable. Disconnect his life-support and let him breathe his last breath free. He has earned the right to die with dignity.

And when the moment arrives, rest in peace Madiba.

Not saying he was ever tempted to do so, but he really couldn't have done that.

Why not? If he stayed on the militant path, with all of the international support against apartheid it wouldn't have been impossible for the ANC to establish a dictatorship or a junta.
