Susan Rice to replace Donilon as national security adviser

LOL !!!

I guess your just not the type of individual who would have made the obvious connection between fully armed men with RPG and mortar capabillities and terrorist.

Nah they were " protesters ". LOL !!!

Wow.

And she was part of the administration and your saying SHE was that dumb, but deserves a promotion. Unbelievable.

It was obvious after the first news accounts of the attack that it wasn't a protest. If you missed that than that is the hard evidence for your support of Susan Rice and this administratiin.

Hard evidence for my support? Am I on trial here, Mr. McCarthy?

I guess you are one of those people under the impression that everybody had all of this information 24 hours after the attack.

Rice is a deliberately provocative choice.

I wonder if the President realizes that she's an insulting choice to those of us who are independents?

Hahahaha. Okie there.

No clue what you're trying to say.

Translation:

You're right, appointing Susan Rice to such a powerful position is provocative, and insulting. But I'd rather not acknowledge that and pretend I can laugh it off.

They had enough information to know it was not the result of a youtube video. She, and millions of others, knew it was a lie. But there are people who don't mind being lied to, who put their political party ahead of their country, so it's not a bad pick for them.

Thank you for the translation. Not sure if this what what was intended, but at least it makes sense.

No clue what you're trying to say.

That you're not an independent and your feelings towards this ''insult'' on this is issue are in line with every other Conservative Republican possition you hold.

You will certainly pardon me from not extracting what you've just said from "Hahahaha. Okie there."

I wasn't even sure whether "Okie" meant slang for "someone from Oklahoma" or whether this was a typo for "Okay." Or what. Lucidity ftw.

Good to know you don't even try to defend your bogus claim you're some sort of independent. Lol, I'd love to know where you differ from Republican rhetoric on anything.

Sarah Palin: 'America ... So Screwed' with Rice, Power Picks

Sarah Palin on Thursday issued a blistering attack on President Barack Obama's appointments of Susan Rice and Samantha Power as top national-security and foreign-policy advisers, lamenting, "America, we are so screwed."

"We're in for a helluva ride, America. Obama just named Susan Rice as his National Security Adviser and nominated Samantha Power to replace Rice as our U.N. ambassador," the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee said in jaw-dropping Facebook post.

"Samantha Power is married to Cass Sunstein, the very, very strange Obama pick for an early 'czar' position who wowed us with his numerous bizarre claims including the wacko belief that animals should have the right to sue in court, that hunting should be banned as genocide, and that pet ownership is akin to 'slavery.'"

Sunstein, administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, is an outspoken advocate of animal rights and once said that granting animals legal rights could decrease animal cruelty.

Palin also says Power "once compared U.S. actions abroad to those of Nazi Germany. As the Washington Examiner's Philip Klein wryly noted on Twitter, 'Samantha Power is the UN Ambassador, who is supposed to represent US interests at the UN?'"

She promised her followers that more "information about Obama's new picks will be revealed in coming days" and admonished the nation to "pay attention to who they are; what they stand for; and what their records, associations, and statements reveal about them and their intentions."

Finally, Palin concludes: "Nah, America... I shouldn't have prefaced this post with a warning to hang on because 'we're in for a helluva' ride.' Sorry. That was crass and inaccurate. I should have just said about Obama's judgment and unchecked power, 'America, we are so screwed.'"

Morning MMC...I couldn't agree more...These picks accomplish a few things with Obama....

1. It effectively sticks a finger in the eye of Issa, and republicans that want to get to the bottom of Benghazi

2. It flips the whole of America off as he tells us, 'you think I am embattled? Watch this...

3. It gives the radical Muslim world a message that we don't really support Israel, and are true dhimmi's. They now have a green light.

This President and his followers are some of the most divisive in history...

Its even worse than that JM.....Rice knows nothing of Security of this Country. She is not an Expert in anything related to the Field. She doesn't have the Intelligence nor the brain capacity to even make the grade.

My only thing is.....if the Country gets hit while she is in Charge. When it is done over with. Obama has a Choice. His Head or Hers. But one does come off! ;)

Myself.....If I were the Repubs. I would set Obama up and then FORCE HIM to get rid of her. Which Naturally He wont like. But then.....they Should tell him. We don't give a damn what you like.

Heya NB :2wave: Do you think Obama will now get his Judicial Appointees filled with this type of move being made? I don't think Obama understands that this is not a just a slap to the Repubs. But it is a slap in the face of All the American people. Guess we can give him Rice to keep any of his people off the Courts.....huh?

Let alone what Our Allies are thinking Right about now. Both the French and the Russians complained about Rice in the UN. Also Obama is to name his UN Ambassador.

The Russians and our enemies must be really laughing their asses off. Considering they have always out played Rice. Outmaneuvered her. Manipulated her. Then made embarrassed her on the Security Council. Now she will be Directly responsible for the Physical Security of the Country. Years ago this would have been considered a joke. Now its nothing more than a Travesty.

Oh yes, because President Obama was having such an easy time of getting the republicans in the Senate to quit playing 'hold' games with nominees before this!

As far as the Roosians go it appears their unnamed source biggest butt hurt over her is she is too ambiguous and too aggressive, not a bad 'complaint' when dealing with Roosians, FYI their biggest complaint about our Ambassador in Moscow is he is there to promote democracy not 'understand' Russia. (NPR)

Now when Dubya put Bolton in the UN on a very temporary basis, I don't recall the right wing denouncing him or listening to our allies much. Bolton is quoted as saying diplomacy is weakness and indecisiveness. And when France cautioned against war in Iraq we started eating Freedom Fries and waving our genitalia in their general direction! The Right Wing seems to have a very fickle relationship with our 'allies'.

:doh To bad it was more than those Roosians ya was talking bout.....huh? So now what is your lame excuse going to be for the Watch groups out of UN. Did ya want to come up with any Excuses by those MOOOOSLIIIIIIMS who were complaining about Rice? That also kinda gave ya pal Susan the Good Ole Backhand to her face?

Yes yes.....cry about BUUUUUUSH some more while trying to explain away how doing it wrong has some sort of meaning.

How about you put some facts behind the rant? So far the Roosian 'complaint' should be music to the right wing ear.

Funny how the Right Wing wants us all to forget the past when it suits them but remember the past when trying to call something 'appeasement'

Forget mocking France now that you want to claim France as an 'ally'.

Forget putting one of the most pugnacious 'ambassadors' in the UN with Bolton.

Selective memory...

And FYI using Sarah Palin as a good spokesman for the Radical Right is classic but pitiful. When the Right wants to deny her rants, she is a has been who is standing in the wasteland, so I'd stay with people who are relevant... :peace

Susan Rice to replace Donilon as national security adviser | Fox News

"Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador who drew criticism for her initial account of the Benghazi terror attack, has been promoted to national security adviser...
Rice will replace Tom Donilon, who is resigning from the post. Rice, the current U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, does not need Senate confirmation for the job.

Hitler would be proud of you surrounding yourself with conmen/women propagandists, mister Odumba. A chip off the old fascist turd.

The woman who claimed Benghazi was from a video? Oh great, I feel so safe now.

Yeah, I don't think any set up is needed. Unfortunately for the country, he is seemingly imploding all on his own...Obama was incompetent from day one, and in his first term he did good at distracting the public from the most egregious of his crap, but now in the second term, the mask is coming off as even some of the radical left that he needed as his support, start to wake up that he didn't do what they want either....

They are leaking like a colander on spaghetti night.

Obama is incompetent, and we in the opposition knew that from the start, and many dismissed it as sour grapes, or what ever, but now even his own base is having to ask the question of evil, or incompetent....And they are pissed.

Obama's danger isn't from his political opposition, it is, and always has been from within his own base of loosely held together radicals on the left that have the propensity to be dangerous and we should all fear what is happening to this country in the more radical circles within.

Try looking it up yourself.....not to difficult to pick out the UN Watch Groups that have been calling for Rice's head Since Darfur. Nor those Moooslims Groups that have been complaining about her. I thought you would surely know those you support fully and blindly without hesitation or thinking for ones self.

Funny how all that other **** you are talking about. Has nothing to do with Susan Rice. Yes forget mocking France for outwitting and out playing and out maneuvering Rice in the UN.

Course wrong again with your comment to me on saying I would Claim France as An ally. As I have never said such a thing EVER! Which France being an Ally really has nothing to do with Susan Rice, other than they got over on her.

No we didn't forget one of the Most pugnacious Ambassadors in the UN. The Most Pugnacious of them ALL arrived in the package of Susan Rice which that is what the Topic is on. One who was never qualified to hold any position as an Ambassador. Who was mocked ridiculed and made the US look bad as well as Weak. Now she has been given the top hat to the Physical Security of the US, other than the Presidency.

Yes it would seem you have a selective memory. You will get no argument outta of me on that one.

When you figure ALL of that part about Palin saying something. Then get back to me.....but do and try not to come with any Strange Tales from Weird Science. Just Sayin! ;)

Just a few facts about France outwitting Rice, or the Muslim complaints, and Darfur??? REALLY??? Again you rant with no real facts, just very vague claims someone said something and when i do show the complaint is just standard Roosian wolf whistling you ignore the facts and rant on.

The most pugnacious ambassador to the UN was Bolton, who makes Rice seem like a ***** cat. You can't bury the past just because it blows your complaints out of the water. To the Right Wing France is no ally but the butt of 99% of the surrender jokes. To the Right Wing Russia is an enemy on the rise, not an ally. To the Right Wing most of the Muslim world is a hot mess that needs to move into the 19th century before we can deal with them- well we can still exploit their oil...

That is true, unless you'd like to explain to me what you think sitting down a table across from a radical enemy of anyone not adhering to the same warped belief system as they believe would accomplish.

well we can still exploit their oil...

We'd love to drill our own, are you on board?

Well that was just like your strange tale about the Russians.

Besides you deflection about Bolton doesn't hold any Water compared to Rice. Also you didn't have anything about the Russians other than that Hot Air you toot. Clearly you were not aware of what was taking place with the Security Council.

I can't help it you didn't pay attention to Rice with Libya and the French. I am not surprised you didn't pay attention when Rice forced Clinton to do a 180 on her remarks. Then the MS media Reported it. Its not my fault that you don't know anything about Susan Rice other than What your Masters tell you.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/11/15/susan-rice-miserable-record-at-un/

Here lets start with Fox news So ya can cry and Whine about them first.

Rice’s diplomatic failures and silence in the face of outrageous UN antics have given the United States pathetic representation among the 193 members of the world body. UN members, not surprisingly, prefer a weak opponent. Rice is therefore popular with her colleagues. It may explain why she ignored Syria’s growing problems for months.

Speaking out and challenging the status quo is seldom cheered at the UN. Her slow and timid response left the United States at the mercy of Russia and China, who ultimately vetoed a watered down resolution an unprecedented three times.

Ironically, Rice was very critical of the US’s performance at the UN under President George W. Bush and vowed to build better relationships with every country. In her current stump speech Rice claims with a straight face that her goal has been accomplished, “We’ve repaired frayed relations with countries around the world. We’ve ended needless American isolation on a wide range of issues. And as a consequence, we've gotten strong cooperation on things that matter most to our national security interest.

She skipped Security Council meetings when Israel needed defending and even failed to show up for the emergency session on the Gaza Flotilla incident.

Rice didn’t even show up for the first two emergency Security Council meetings on the unfolding Arab Spring revolution last year. Rice stayed silent when Iran was elected to the U.N. women’s committee, she didn’t call out Libya when it was elected to the Human Rights Council, she was absent from the Haiti crisis meeting and was a no-show for the last open meeting scheduled before the planned UN vote to recognize Palestinian statehood. When she actually does show up, she is a miserable failure.

Take the crucial issue of Iran. Rice spent the last several years undermining and grumbling about the Bush administration’s increasingly tough measures but has only been able to pass one resolution of her own – compared with the Bush team’s five.

Richard Grenell served as the spokesman for 4 U.S. Ambassadors to the U.N. including John Negroponte, John Danforth, John Bolton and Zalmay Khalilzad. He currently writes from Los Angeles where his pieces can be seen at Richard Grenell | without the filter. Follow him on Twitter@RichardGrenell.

Susan Rice is Bad News for Africa

http://www.blackagendareport.com/content/susan-rice-bad-news-africa

Rice is a proponent of so-called "humanitarian military intervention" - but supports a U.S. Somalia policy that created "Africa's worst humanitarian crisis," according to the United Nations.

There is every reason to believe she will counsel the next president to continue George Bush's policies in the Horn of Africa. In January, 2007, while Ethiopian troops attempted to crush Islamists who had brought a brief period of relative peace and stability to Somalia, and U.S. air and sea forces pounded the countryside with missiles and bombs, Rice revealed herself to be an apostle of George Bush's War on Somalia (and the so-called War on Terror in general). Rice told the PBS News Hour that U.S. collaboration with the Ethiopian invaders was justified by what she called America's "counterterrorism imperatives," which she said "really are real in the context of Somalia." In Rice's words, "We have to go after the terrorist cells where we find them."

On Darfur, Rice is more bellicose than Bush."

The "humanitarian" component of Susan Rice's militarism is quite selective.

She has long been a super-hawk on punishing Sudan for its behavior in Darfur. Back in October, 2006, Rice declared, "It's time to get tough" with the government in Khartoum." In a Washington Post column, she advised the Bush regime to give Sudan "an ultimatum: accept unconditional deployment of the U.N. force within one week or face military consequences."

On Darfur, Rice is more bellicose than Bush. She sees no contradiction in calling for military action against Sudan, supposedly to end a "humanitarian crisis" in Darfur, while simultaneously backing a savage U.S.-Ethiopian assault that causes an even larger humanitarian calamity in Somalia. Rice claims to seek safety for civilians in Darfur, while supporting a total absence of security for Somali civilians. Darfur is a military/political convenience for "real-politic" operatives like Susan Rice. As Bruce Dixon wrote in his November 2007 BAR article, "If stopping genocide in Africa really was on the agenda, why the focus on Sudan with 200,000 to 400,000 dead rather than Congo with five million dead?" (See "Ten Reasons Why ‘Save Darfur' is a PR Scam to Justify the Next US Oil and Resource Wars in Africa.")

Rice's behavior in Africa has always been morally inconsistent. She was a member of Bill Clinton's National Security Council during the 1994 Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi minority. Later, she "swore" she would go "down in flames" if necessary to prevent future genocides. But after her promotion to Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, she failed to publicly advocate action against U.S. allies Uganda and by then Tutsi-ruled Rwanda - the main perpetrators in an ongoing war that his killed millions.

Rice embraces a policy that causes mass death and starvation in Somalia and ongoing genocide in Congo.....snip~

Damn just how many meeting did she miss with the Security Council? Seems Lavrov had some people siding with him on the Council huh?

No Sir, what i want is for MMC to do more than rant, I went and checked the 'russian complaint' and found it to be her being aggressive, something the Right LOVED about Bolton. We need strong leadership but not to be a bully, yet Rice being strong is now a bad thing according to MMC, pick one! France is an ally until she disagrees with us then our leadership mocks her with surrender jokes, freedom fries, reminders of WWII, and the wine boycott. (Did you not pay attention during BushII's Gulf War II?) Again it is MMC who is calling Russia an ally, while many other right wingers constantly attack Putin and Russia as 'threatening' us, with subs in the Gulf of Mexico and supporting Syria, attacking the former republic of Georgia.... some on the right wing flip flop so much they clack as they walk.

Again MMC makes some vague claim the Muslims are complaining about Rice and THIS complaint is somehow one we should suddenly listen to after years of let those bastards figure it out for themselves.

It is flip flopping to support a hate that defies logic.
