Brother of 8-year-old California girl arrested in her stabbing death

It does not sound conclusive as of yet; however, the police would need and probably do have reason to apprehend the brother after a 2,000 hour investigation. Obviously something lead authorities to him. It could be DNA or fingerprints that the CNN article referenced. Either way, my sympathies are with the parents, and the little girl who lost her life in a horrific way.

They are rare for usually offenders were themselves offended at one time. The boy is arrested but is it conclusive that it is him who killed the sister?

No, but one would hope that if they are going to arrest a 12 year old boy, they would have some pretty good evidence of his guilt.

Then we better wait for more data before we could also conclude that the brother did it.

I wonder why he would do this. This is just disturbing.

I thought I did some really mean stuff to other kids when I was little, but it was nothing like this. I never thought of stabbing anybody. I am really shocked by this. Did he just go back to acting normal?

the morality of this country is going down the crapper thanks to the liberal philosophy of no accountability or responsibility of ones actions " its not your fault Jimmy you was born that way society made you do it"

He is a child. The defining characteristic of being a child is that they are not responsible.

To a great extent. Twelve is a child, but also a pre-teen, and we do hold different expectations for older children than we do for younger ones. A few years ago in California, I think, a 5-year old killed his baby sister in her crib. But 5 isn't 12. Should we expect better impulse control from a 12-year old?

Anyway, as has been pointed out, we don't know all the facts. Does the 12-year old have special needs? A history of acting out? What?

What to do when kids go evil. It always shakes me to hear these stories.

I feel bad for the mother of these kids. Worst mothers day imaginable.

Are some people just born evil?

Maybe they are, Peter.

I have many younger brothers and they could certainly try one's patience... My mother was an invalid by the time I was a young teen.. but abusing them or killing them was NOT an option. I loved them and still do after 6 decades.

I disagree.. a 12 year old knows better than to stab a small girl..

Knows better, sure. Is capable of taking responsibility for his own actions? Not so much. That's why his parents are still responsible for him.

That's why I'm eager to learn more about the parents and particulars.

... When would you say this "philosophy" became prominent?

I blame it on the Wig Party. They are morally corrupt bastards.

Blame it on Cain.
