Jodi Arias guilty of 1st-degree murder

She deserves us to spend at least a million her, maybe two, but she might get a chance to kill another inmate saving us money or a guard, creating a new job for someone that needs one.

Fortunately, we don't kill people because of what we THINK or speculate they might do.

I'd prefer it if she was locked up for eternity.

Why is this trial national news? I am totally dumbfounded how this murder of an unknown by an unknown merits this much national coverage.

I'm just glad the jury came to a guilty verdict with all that overwhelming evidence.

I think it's because she was claiming selfdefense, and, even though the guy was no saint, it was obvious she had just slaughtered him like some kind of animal........................

I enjoy trial coverage. I was pissed when CourtTV became WhiteTrashTV.

I still don't get it. While I don't think the Zimmerman-Martin thing should have the following it does, I at least can appreciate the part that nobody else really does--the issue of the sense of entitlement of people in gated communities. With this murder--nothing stands out as being that different than other murders.

I guess part of the reason is because his family made sure the media heard about the story because they knew he had just been murdered, plain and simple, and her wailing some tune about being a victim of abuse was bogus....................

Yeah that is too much like work to me. I end up yelling at the TV "WTF are you thinking!!!!" most of the time. Court TV does seem to cover pretty much any case they can get CC tv into.

So basically if you want your 15 minutes of infamy, you need to be connected to a murder and engage in a PR campaign. Yeah, society is effed.

Unfortunately, reality often comes down to that, especially since she was running with the fake narrative that she was the victim in the story and had actually convinced many people of that.........................

I am acquainted with a lady who was the "other woman" in a murder that got some wide-spread press coverage back in the day and was the subject of one of those True Crime type novels (I forget the name of the book though as I was a kid when it happened) and she is absolutely embarrassed and humiliated by it all. I completely understand her-- I just don't understand people who seek it out like these folks relish in it, but I suppose that not understanding may be a good thing.

I see no reason to kill this girl. She is in custody and can't hurt anyone else. Why do some people want to kill her?

There in lies the debate. This woman cannot be considered sane. It is brutal to the soul seeing how people end up, her in a cage forever or dead and her boyfriend slaughtered. Imagine being a parent in this case. The psychos that open up on crowds with guns like in the theater and elementary school recently. Madness is a part of life. We have all witnessed it.
