US suspects Syria used chemical weapons [W:284]

Good, another flame thrower using inflammatory rhetoric....We didn't have enough of those in here, welcome.

And you cannot deny that some of the biggest proponents of our endless wars never served a day.

War brings freedom.

Rarely does it bring freedom. It usually replaces one despot for another. And it always grows the State.

I refuse world peace while any of my brothers and sisters suffer in tyranny.

You mean the same rebels who would not hesitate to kill innocent US citizens if given a chance?

So, you don't like the civilian leadership model?

I think its hypocrisy to refuse to serve in a war yet actively support the war and expect others to go for you.

We have a voluntary force.

Of course. That does not change the hypocrisy of those who support the war, had a chance to go, and refused to go.

Have you served?

I have not served in the military and after seeing how it affected my family I'm glad I decided not to join.

We are confident in the victory of good over evil.

The great thing about the military, and what makes ours the greatest to ever grace the earth, is that as a volunteer force, we are possibly also the most professional military force in history. The make up of civilian leadership ensures that military decisions can be made by non military invested decision makers, this is for a very good reason.

"how is affected your family"? You'd have to explain that one further, but in any case you do realize the irony of you calling names like 'chickenhawk' and you never having served right? Might I suggest before you travel further down this path of denigration of the military, you stop while you're behind.

It's a tricky situation for sure...I don't want 'boots on the ground' but then again, we need to make sure that the chemical stockpiles, plus what ever Saddam sent in during the Iraq invasion is accounted for, and doesn't fall into the hands of AQ that is pouring in.

I agree.

War is the biggest cause of the bloated State. If you value liberty you would be opposed to yet ANOTHER war.

We don't need to go to war in Syria. We need only to assist those who are prepared to die for their own country. We have nothing to lose in Syria and much to gain, and the cost is rock bottom.

What part of "I don't want 'boots on the ground' " didn't you comprehend?

I was answering the thread. I just wish you knew that as it concerned Iraq. ;)

especially when the fight is between a despot and an Al Qaeda backed rebellion. Who do you support? Is there a "none of the above" option?

Sometimes it's better to wait until there is a winner before acting. I been the word "acting" in a very broad way. ;)

I'll give you one chance to explain how this response from you...

I wondered when this silliness would pop up.

It didn't work out well with Iraq, so I would avoid this imperialistic notion of invading countries.

That quoted a post from me personally, is you "answering the thread"....

First line to you. Than a double space distance to denote another thought. It was to the thread. If that wasn't clear, I apologize.

Ok then, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for the moment....Then I have to ask, what silliness?

Saddam's weapons. Clinging to the bitter end. he had no capability to be growing and gathering. wmds don't just pop up out of thin air.

Well, I am not going to fall for the tactic of off topic debating here, but suffice to say that no rational response has ever been given by liberals as to the fact that convoy's of trucks, and flights into Syria were loaded and allowed to leave the country days before invasion....We don't know for sure what was in them.

I fear we will find out soon, and all we will hear from libs will be deafening silence.

So, the factual inability to produce anything isn't rational? How many times must these nonsensical things be shown to be nothing?

It's a well known fact that Syria has chemical weapons. There are known NBC sites in Syria.

This is yet another demonstration of, "all bark and no bite", from the Libbos. Quite like when Libbos were demanding solid evidence that UBL was responsible for 9/11. Who else remembers that?

How many we'll known facts have been proven wrong in the past? And since when do we decide what other courtesy have? Imperialism anyone?
