DA looks for links between bomb suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev and 2011 triple murder

As a numbers guy, I can't help but notice that the date 9/11 is perhaps connected to both Tsarnaev brothers. Dzhokhar got his citizenship last year on 9/11. Tamerlan has reasonably been named a potential subject in a triple murder on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, one victim known to have trained and been "friends" with Tamerlan. The birthday problem (odds 2 people in a classroom of n students have the same birthday) surprises many, but this particular date connected to the Boston terrorists more than once surprises even me a bit. What are your thoughts?

Humans are REALLY good at finding patterns. In fact, we are so good at it we often see patterns when none actually exist.

Hmmm, like? I did read the OP, and I'm sure everyone else read the OP before coming across my post. To anyone with a legitimate interest in the OP, my post is as inconsequential and trivial as the numerical connection is to Boston. "IMO"

The "pattern" of multiple serious events occurring on 9/11 is there. There's no debating that. Little brother's citizenship on 9/11 lasr year is just an interesting coincidence. The open question is whether or not the date of 9/11 for this triple murder, assuming it was committed by Tamerlan, was chosen intentionally to be on the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks. This also coincides with when they believe he was becoming radicalized. The same question can be posed for the Benghazi attack. I know I was saying "what the heck are you doing with insufficient security at the embassy on 9/11 of all days?" when the news about Benghazi broke. I'm not saying it was or wasn't, but it's a reasonable hypothesis.

They just caught a couple of Muslims in Canada as well. It will be interesting to learn what day they planned the attack.

The date 9-11 does have significance for many, including some who wish us ill. Maybe this is all coincidence, but maybe it's not. Guess we'll all have to see if more 9-11 coincidences pile up.
