Don't have much to say for the story, but am somewhat sad if this ends up being a "national' news story. Then again, gotta fill up an annoying 24/7 news cycle with something I guess. If it remains jus tin the local media that's understandable to a point.

It sounds a variation of "my friend's uncle's niece's neighbor's cousin."

If she did what she was accused of, then she should be dealt with accordingly. But unless Obama was involved in whatever scheme she may have participated in, his name being mentioned in this story is meaningless.

I don't think the article was trying to tie it to Obama, but identifying wright on how most people know him: as Obama's former pastor

Sounds like she was in the business of community organizing but that shouldn't tie her to the community organizer in chief.

None about the president as he has no control what his former pastor's kid do or don't do. But from what I saw and heard of Jeremiah Wright, the fact one of his kids if he has more than this one, gets into trouble is no surprise. I suppose one could call what his daughter did a white collar crime, I wonder if the good reverend will try to change that to a black collar crime. I know, not PC, but at my age I just don't give a darn.

probably for the same reason that Bush's name was in the subject of every article with which he was remotely related while he was POTUS
 
Yeah, why attach the president's name to this? That the left did the same with Bush (and the right at the time complained, fairly, about it) just makes folks hypocrites for doing the same now.

because the guy in only known nationally due to his ties to Obama? Just writing Jeremiah Wright's daughter, or Jeri Wright, would leave people asking "who"

Which leads to the question, since Jeremiah's fame is merely secondary why is it news what his daughter does? I could understand if she committed mass murder or was tied to some sort of gun violence, at least that would be topical. This however is just partisans being hypocritical.

Let's see... this is the daughter of the bigot Obama called his mentor... who Obama considered family. So it's not sad that it's a national news story, what's sad is we have people who say "who cares?"

And "if it remains just in the local media that's understandable to a point." No. It's a national figure who had a massive influence on Obama as he admitted. This isn't just some staffer... it's the bigot's daughter.

You know... I thought it was evil republicans that stole money from the poor... now we have learned the daughter of Obama's mentor is such a thief.
