"China suddenly uses harsh tones towards North Korea"
In an unusually harsh form, China has warned North Korea of a further escalation of the situation. The government in Beijing is apparently losing patience with their ally. Before that happened, Pyong'yang had turned towards their powerful partner. (...)
Although China's President Xi Jinping did not mention North Korea explicitly, the message was unambigous: No country shall be allowed to pull a region or even the entire world into chaos, out of egoistic motives, Xi said at a gathering on the south Chinese island Hainan.
Diplomats like the former US ambassador in China, Jon Huntsman, called Xi's statements "without example". China is apparently losing patience with its ally, the diplomat said. (...)
