Notice the reluctance to summarize for those who came into the thread later? A simple restatement would cost only a sentence or so, and yet you're being told to read up. Odd that it's so difficult to simply restate one's position.

That's your strawman, My point was that more guns doesn't make America safer than other wealthy countries. If they did, with 300 million guns, we would be the safest country among the wealthy nations as no other wealthy country has as many guns as we do.

that was not your point.... you said his guns didn't do him and his wife any good.... implying that guns will do good in each and every case.

if you really believed gun made you less safe, you would get rid of your own first..... why have you failed to get rid of your own gun?

I can make the case to my satisfaction..... 3 times my gun have thwarted someone trying to do me harm.....they kept me safe.
i know that's not enough for you... you only exploit dead victims, not live people kept safe by their firearms.... but it's enough for me.

You can't fathom the distinction between guns for hunting by law abiding citizens and weapons designed for the military sold to criminals and the mentally deranged with no questions asked, can you?


The 3 times your gun has thwarted someone trying to do harm to you doesn't negate ten other people killed unnecessarily by guns.
