CPAC chair: Christie didn't 'deserve' an invite this year

Re: CPAC head: Christie "doesn't deserve" to be a Republican

You do realize that CPAC stands for Conservative Political Action Conference? It is not LPAC for Liberal Political Action Conference, or RPAC for Rino Political Action Conference.

So why was Romney invited? He is far from conserative although he tried to pretend to be, which everyone saw right through.

Re: CPAC head: Christie "doesn't deserve" to be a Republican

Bought what? His severely conserative speech? I think not.

Then why were you trying to convince Dittohead Not! that Romney was a conservative?

I'm not. My point is why was Romney invited to CPAC because he is not a conservative. He only pretended when he was running. My recollection is the conserative part of the republican party did not want Romney so why was he invited? That is my question.
Any answers?

Re: CPAC head: Christie "doesn't deserve" to be a Republican

I just want to say that it warms my heart that conservatives are dedicated to losing more national elections.

CPAC this year has been about the best thing that could happen for democrats. I think we should just step back and enjoy the spectacle.

Re: CPAC head: Christie "doesn't deserve" to be a Republican

Christie is far too emotionally unstable to be able to withstand a presidential campaign.

Or you could ignore the fact that conservatives are delusional in thinking that the problem in the last two Presidential elections was that the candidates weren't conservative enough.

I agree. Now, if you'd just step back....I am the only living real conservative left. If I wasn't so, I'd be able to prove it without an emotional breakdown.

Good afternoon, Humbolt.

You might be happy to learn that I have run across one or two others. They have asked that their identities be kept secret, till they are ready to come out of the closet and admit it! They're insecure right now because they are getting attacked all the time, and I think that's really pitiful, but their hearts are in the right place. :)

4 million Republican voters stayed home in 2012 that voted for McCain. If they would have voted, Romney would have won. Romney didn't win because he didn't get out his base. Why? Because he wasn't conservative enough. He didn't press the attack after the first debate. He allowed the media to take back the narrative for their pal Obama as Obama threw everything (even the kitchen sink) at him painting him as a murderous tax cheat.

McCain actually took an 8 point lead in the first race after he picked Palin. He was collapsing in the polls. When you have the media trashing and smearing Palin and painting the first (As Biden said) "articulate and clean" Black Presidential Candidate as the "Messiah of Hope and Change", any conservative candidate would have been hard pressed to beat Obama in that election. 2012 was different though. Obama received 9 million less votes than he did in 2008. He was beatable if our candidate had energized his base. Romney did not energize his base, so he lost. You see? Substance. Not hard.

A moderator shouldn't be posting immature nonsense trying to bait and goad people. Especially so blatantly without any substance. Moderators need to be held to a higher standard of posting than that.

I greatly appreciate you not mentioning names. The red letter "C" carries such weight in a progressive world. We have those politicians claiming the "C" to thank for this.

True, but we can say that he can't be backed into a tight corner, anyway.

Damn substance getting in the way of your good dismissal....

He's emotionally unstable? Because he calls BS by it's right name when he hears it? I know that's radical in todays' world, but C'mon.....

Are you referring to this joke ...

Little Johnny is at it again... President Obama was visiting a primary school and he visited one of the classes.

They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings.

The teacher asked the president if he would like to lead the discussion on the word 'tragedy'?

So our illustrious president asked the class for an example of a 'tragedy'.

One little boy stood up and offered: 'If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs over him and kills him, that would be a tragedy?'

'No,' said Obama, 'that would be an accident.'

A little girl raised her hand: 'If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy.'

'I'm afraid not,' explained Obama. 'That's what we would call great loss.' The room went silent. No other children volunteered.

Obama searched the room. 'Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?'

Finally at the back of the room, Little Johnny raised his hand.

In a quiet voice he said: If the plane carrying you and Mrs. Obama was struck by a 'friendly fire' missile and blown to smithereens that would be a tragedy.'

'Fantastic!' exclaimed Obama. 'That's right. And can you tell me why that would be tragedy?'

'Well,' says Little johnny, 'It has to be a tragedy, because it certainly wouldn't be a great loss... and it probably wouldn't be an accident either.

And then there were shockingly disrespectful yet alarmingly accurate posters like this ...

Did you know this thread had nothing to do with Obama? ODS is a sad, tragic thing. It also does not change the fact that CPAC has not been good publicity for republicans or conservatives.

From who? ThinkProgress and TPM trying desperately to find any scrap they can to mock and humiliate the political opposition? I'm shocked liberals would do such a thing.

.
  • CPAC has lots to do with Obama.
  • Does ODS stand for Obama Defensive Syndrome?
  • Easy to think that if you get your news from folks like the recently departed Ed Schultz.

Look at the headline to this very thread. That is just example. Keep blaming the media though, it's amusing and ensures you guys never solve your problems.

No, CPAC is not about Obama, nor is this thread. Desperate attempts at diversions are desperate.

Derangement, Drrangment not defensive. Not everything is about Obama.

Ed who? Do you have anything but diversions from the topic?

Seriously is this the kind of moderator this website wants as it's representative? Someone who goads and baits the other side with endless mocking and snark? How are we supposed to take you seriously when you post garbage like this?
