Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.[W: 168]

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

They were already mentioned. Try to keep up, I realize it is hard for you at times, but give it a shot.

You suggesting because one example of right wing idiots exists that the majority of those that are against the military are not 'left' is what is a logic fail and painfully stupid. Keep it up.

What you fail to realize is that the majority of people that protest the military are on the left, but the majority of the left are not against the military.

Considering there are hundreds of millions on the "left', care to show where those hundreds of MILLIONS of liberals are against the military? Your far and few examples of trying to pin the MAJORITY of the left as military haters falls short from reality.

Oh, you are still here? I thought you took your fail and left.

Worker who taped Romney

I think this comment did a lot of damage for Romney and it's interesting that the guy who taped him was part of that 47%. I would guess also guess that the reason this comment did so much damage was not because Romney is a rich guy but because of the unitarian message Romney was trying to push while also trying to paint himself as an American who was caring about the struggles of that 47% and the struggles it has. Furthermore, I would even argue that the real reason this did damage was because well, Romney with his other comments about "waging $10K" and having friends who own NASCAR teams made him sound far more elitist than he probably is in real life.

In short, this wasn't a good move on Romney's behalf. Even if he did think it would never get out.

I cant fault a poltician for being honest. Especially when hes right. If people would rather be lied to, then they deserve what they get.

LOL I see as usual, you cannot refute what I said, you can only try and dodge. The fail is yours.

One day you will read and learn and realize you are just a big bag of fail, until then I will give you the amount of attention you deserve, which is almost zero.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

Really? You don't remember the part where he said these people "can't be convinced to take responsibility for themselves?" And "these are people who pay no income taxes?"

Apparently Romney forgot that this 47% figure he was parroting includes retired seniors and deployed combat troops. Hell, there are millionaires who pay no income taxes. (because they make their living on capital gains)

He was referring to the 47% of wage earners who dont pay income taxes. This does not include retired seniors or deployed combat troops, as if they have taxable income, then they are paying taxes. Millionaires who make their living on capital gains also pay income taxes, as capital gains is income.

Thank you for your concession.

The same left wing nonsense, repeated. Don't worry, some day you will become educated and learn to do something else.

LOL all you have are insults, a true sign of someone who has lost. Your concession that you cannot refute what I said in post 76 is noted.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

Romney told the truth, pure and simple.

The truth? He said something incredibly stupid. He tried to argue that the entirety of the group that doesn't pay income tax will vote for Obama, IE: the 47%. Just the idea of that is pure nonsense. If he would have said that that group favors Obama, then he might have a point, but that Obama starts out with all of those people in his back pocket? That's just retarded. And he said that there is nothing he could do to change their minds.

It was one of the dumbest things ever said by a candidate. He's assuming that if you don't pay income taxes your dependent on the government, even though you still pay payroll taxes, gas taxes, property taxes, sales tax etc. for local governments and the federal government. Along with that, he's ignoring that there are chunks in that 47% that are retired people no longer working for a living that don't have to pay income taxes (who I'm sure didn't all vote for Obama), military members receiving non-taxable combat pay etc.

Nope, I have history on my side. You do not. Again you fail.

The truth?

Yes, the (D)'s have succeeded in turning most of the nation into government slaves.

It was one of the dumbest things ever said by a candidate.

You are unaware of history as well. Figures.

True or false? Much of Romney's statement relies on assumptions about one demographic: The 47 percent of Americans who he says "pay no income tax." So is it true that 47 percent of Americans don't pay income tax? Essentially, yes, according to the the Tax Policy Center, which provides data showing that in 2011, 46.4 percent of American households paid no federal income tax.

Fact-checking Romney's "47 percent" comment - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

And thats just people who file. Half of americans dont file taxes. Also, the dumbest statement made by a candidate probably goes to John Edwards

EDWARDS: When John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up out of that wheelchair and walk again.

I do not feel the need to address partisan BS. Thus your reply does nothing to correct the reality that you are not familiar with history.

The fact that the retired elderly and some military members are in that group of 47% is partisan BS?

You are all over the place.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

I never said that the 47% didn't pay income taxes, I said that the 47% isn't going to vote for Obama in some large group. I gave the fact that retired people, military members recieving combat pay are in this group as examples that this group isn't just moochers trying to gt a free ride like Romney believes.

The point was you misinterpreted the 47% that he was referring to. Technically we was referring to the people who vote for Obama.

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it -- that that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. ... These are people who pay no income tax. ... [M]y job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

No doubt hes being rhetorical when he claims that everyone who votes for Obama pays no income tax, are all dependent, etc. But he wasnt saying that the 47% who dont pay taxes all vote for Obama, but that the 47% who DO vote for Obama are typically govt dependent.

Even though the meaning is correct, he was indeed not technically correct. He just doesnt get a pass like democrats do.

They arent in that group. If the elderly have taxable income, then they are paying income taxes. If they are getting enough tax credits back to offset that tax, then that is wrong. The elderly should pay taxes like anyone else.

Which doesn't address post 76. When you stop dodging that and can refute what I said let me know. Until then, your concession that you cannot refute what I said in post 76 is accepted from you.

If they are retired elderly, living off of their retirement, then that isn't taxable income.

Now you are just rambling. It has been pointed out you are incorrect, that you are unfamiliar with a vast amount of American history. Go read up, until then you are wasting our time and looking more and more foolish.

I have and it history does not show that hundreds of millions of those on the left are against the military. History has shown that SOME on the left are, not a MAJORITY. Now, if I am wrong, please by all means show me with PROOF and not rhetoric. If you cannot back up your BS claims than DEBATE politics, may not be the place for you.

The fact you cannot refute post 76 is FACT.
