Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.[W: 168]

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

Oh, I can definitely give you this one. 2005, Army Spc. Carrie L. French was killed in combat, and the Westboro Baptist Church held a protest at her funeral. They were waiving signs that said things like "Thank God for IED's" and "Thank God for 9/11". I definitely wouldn't bet them on the left side of the scale, they do think that President Obama is the antichrist, so I guess they would fall to the right.

The westboro baptists are not human, they are an abomination on the face of the earth.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

The westboro baptists are not human, they are an abomination on the face of the earth.

Regardless, you asked for an instance, I gave you one. Think what you want about them, they are people and US citizens, with a very disrespectful of the military. Just because you don't like them, doesn't mean you can just invalidate the fact they are not in any way liberal. You definitely didn't say that all people disrespectful of the military were liberal, but you can't deny that there are conservatives who condemn the military.

Now just imagine if someone dropped in with a ridiculous generality saying "the westboro baptist church is the face of the right-wing". Pretty stupid huh?

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

ONE. Oh my, that clearly means the majority of those that do not like the military can't possibly be on the left.

If you won't give a specific example, I can only assume you don't have anything to justify your position.

Ah, the old "i am not educated on the subject and because you refuse to do the footwork for me, you must not know anything" crap. Yeah, we see that sort of stuff all the time. It's always lame.

Apples and Oranges. Try again without the FAIL.

Apples and Oranges.

But of course it is... lol

From a guy who says his random unsupported smear opinions are "fact."

If you are claiming the evidence is self-evident then you are obviously not debating in good faith.

I asked you to provide evidence to justify your point.

Do your own damn homework. It's not my responsibility if you are not familiar with history.

Debating... it alludes you.

Insulting me does not help your cause.

You say it is historical fact, I ask for proof, and you ask me to find the evidence? That is like the student demanding that the teacher for the answers on a test.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

This is old news - and it now seems like the guy who made the video wants personal fame out of it. No one cares. It's old news.

Sadly, what we have learned is that politicians can NEVER deviate from consultant constructed memorized talking points. A candidate or politician must NEVER talk candidly or off-the-cuff. Rather, they must be actors and follow the script write for them exactly.

That is one aspect of American politics that as made it increasingly absurd and what the candidates say all but entirely irrelevant.

Ah, and on with the personal attacks... normal considering the source.

Insulting me does not help your cause.

Where was an insult?

No, I said that if you do not see the reality of it, you need to read and learn some history.

Who was more likely to disrespect those that served in and returned from Vietnam, to call them names? Those on the right or on the left?
Who is more likely to pass bans for ROTC programs in schools?
Who is more likely to ban recruiters from college campuses?
Who is more likely to attack recruiters and recruiting stations?
What lean does a politician or comedian that suggests only those with no skills serve in the military, or rape and murder people?

Those are a good start to do a little learning.

Who was more likely to disrespect those that served in and returned from Vietnam, to call them names? Those on the right or on the left?

Antiwar protestors.

Who is more likely to pass bans for ROTC programs in schools?

You can't ban the ROTC.

Who is more likely to ban recruiters from college campuses?

No one. As it is illegal.

U.S. Supreme Court Rules Law Schools Can\'t Bar Military Recruiters ...*-*Legal Mojo

A unanimous Supreme Court Monday handed the military a victory over law schools angry at its don't ask, don't tell policy, holding that the federal government is not interfering with the schools' First Amendment rights by requiring them to host military recruiters.

Lolz.

Who is more likely to attack recruiters and recruiting stations?

Don't know. Who has attacked recruiters and recruiting stations?

What lean does a politician or comedian that suggests only those with no skills serve in the military, or rape and murder people?

Which politicians, which comedians?

Those are a good start to do a little learning.

So much fail in one post. It's absurd.

If it is fact then were is the proof?

you will get no proof because its made up, it is not a fact. Its an OPINION that somebody is trying, and majorly failing, to push as a fact. But as this thread shows nobody is fooled.

it seems you are basing your argument about how some people protested the Vietnam war.

The veitnam war was a controversial war and there were people who were diehard supporters of the war as well as those who were diehard opponents of war.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

Antiwar protestors.

College kids.

And those that do such things that are the above are generally?

No one. As it is illegal.

Was *eventually* made illegal, before that it happened quite often.

Don't know. Who has attacked recruiters and recruiting stations?

Do your homework. A quick tip, check from around 2003 to 2007, there are a LOT of such events.

So much fail in one post. It's absurd.

The FAIL is in those that do not know history, and refuse to educate themselves.

it seems you are basing your argument about how some people protested the Vietnam war.

Uh no. One of the things on the list of homework had to do with Vietnam, the others did not.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

This sentence doesn't make sense.

Was *eventually* made illegal, before that it happened quite often.

Lol. Still grasping at straws.

Do your homework. A quick tip, check from around 2003 to 2007, there are a LOT of such events.

Still no facts.

Uh no. One of the things on the list of homework had to do with Vietnam, the others did not.

What? You're not making much sense.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

This sentence doesn't make sense.

I understand that you do not understand a simple sentence.

Lol. Still grasping at straws.

Uh, no. There where many colleges that banned recruiters from their campus prior to that decision.

Still no facts.

It's no wonder America is going down the crapper... it seems most people just refuse to lift a finger to learn and remove their ignorance on so many topics.

What? You're not making much sense.

See first response above.

Well this has been delightfully humorous... but I have to go to bed. Hatuey, make sure you aren't bludgeoned to death and peed on by roving droves of drug-infested liberal hippies. There out there. Don't make me do your homework for you.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

Find any instance when people bad mouthed the military, spit on them, called them names, etc... then tell us if they were left or right on the spectrum.

Westboro Baptist Church.

Now shut up and sit down and spare us any more of your painfully stupid comments.

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

It was Jimmy Carter's grandson who found the video on YouTube and made MotherJones aware of it, thus making it famous. But he wasn't the one who taped it.

Thanks

Re: Worker who taped Romney's 47% comment comes forward.

Mr. Hat, this is one of your fairer posts. What I found most interesting is that, with all of the hullabaloo around his comment, all I remember about it is him saying 47% wouldn't vote for him. I'm wondering just how public the rest of his remarks surrounding this 47% comment were at the time. I sure don't remember them.

At the time, I thought, "Well, I guess I might agree with that -- that 47% wouldn't vote for him under any circumstances -- but I hadn't heard the surrounding commentary. Makes better sense on why he said it now.

Thank you.

Really? You don't remember the part where he said these people "can't be convinced to take responsibility for themselves?" And "these are people who pay no income taxes?"

Apparently Romney forgot that this 47% figure he was parroting includes retired seniors and deployed combat troops. Hell, there are millionaires who pay no income taxes. (because they make their living on capital gains)

His surrounding comments were what was new to me:

Romney told supporters that backers of President Barack Obama are "victims" and dependent on the government.“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney said. "There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.”

The only thing wrong with what he said is the percentage. It's not that high.

They were already mentioned. Try to keep up, I realize it is hard for you at times, but give it a shot.

You suggesting because one example of right wing idiots exists that the majority of those that are against the military are not 'left' is what is a logic fail and painfully stupid. Keep it up.
