NY judge halts Bloomberg ban on large sugary drinks

Now, may I say something totally politically incorrect? (Moderators, shoot me down as soon as you have to).

Here you have Mike Bloomberg, a good Jewish boy. Bright, diligent, driven - I wouldn't mind at all being reincarnated the next time around as a Jew - my current oversized blond Slavic-Germanic version is okay, but kinda sluggish, short on ambition, if you know what I mean...

Now, imagine you are a good Jewish boy/girl (or Italian, for that matter) - and what your Mother says is the law. (Quick-n'-corny cultural reference: Steve Martin in the "Little Shop of Horrors" -" I am a dentist -and a success!")

What do you think Mother was telling little Mickey? "Work hard". "Be inventive". " Never give up" (There you have the "Republican" side). And: 'Don't you EVER touch the stuff that's BAD for you: guns, porn, OVERSIZED SODA!!!"

I have drank 64 oz's of soda at a sitting. I must admit I am adicted to Coca Cola. So much so that I only can use certain foutains and only drink the stuff with surger. I can get really thirsty.:) I dont normally. Normally I get 44 oz coca cola filed mostly with ice and that lasts me the day. I think there might be 12 ounces of soda in there at most. I drink the soda mostly and then let the ice melt off a bit and drink that and refresh it a bit with some bottled water toward the end of the day. Its that or iced coffee. Either works well.

Actually I have seen that. Up close and personal. I prefer that state of affairs. Problems can be delt with and resolved quickly decisvely and permantately. I will freely admit there are downsides. Lots in fact. Government that is limited in scope would be preferable. But given a choice I prefer no government. Thats because I CAN take care of myself and mine. This government could go to hell and I would be just fine.

The apostrophe was a mistype spelling nazi. Second you do not know me or my positions well enough to make your absurd comment that I'm a fascist. Let's see my state first mentality, I support an amendment that protects economic freedom by limiting the rates of income tax, support of balance budget amendment, support of term limits of one term in executive and legislative branch, distrust of anyone seeking power. How does me wanting 0% corporate rate, o% capital gains tax on ipo, elimination of double taxation like estate and property tax fit your fascist conclusion. I support the 2nd amendment as well as the rest of them, strong supporter of constitution. Do I think freedom of speech means you can yell fire in theater, no. but that doesn't make me a fascist. That I think single payer health insurance is smart doesn't make m a fascist. Support of epa, etc. Only in the minds of libertarians.

I didn't say anything about an apostrophe. If you're going to make fun of somebody's intelligence, at least use proper grammar.

I like that prison policy. Down here in Georgia we still have county prisoners go out and police the highways and roads. But every so often, the ACLU or some other group will try to get the county to stop it. I guess they think it is beneath the prisoners dignity to do police call. some revenue is always better than none

Maybe I wasn't talking about you. Where did I mention your name, and did not Gipper mention apostrophe? Only one trying to insult someone's intelligence is you in your glib posts and him for bringing it up. Maybe next time I am typing fast and by accident type "than" instead of "then" you can be my grammar police. Sort of like another level of auto correct. Maybe you are too small of soul to correct me in private but if you want to shout it out in public and make me look stupid and get your kicks for being so blandly clever, go for it. Get mad all you want. You're the one using terrible grammar while improperly using simple words in a shallow attempt to appear more fancy. You are right about one thing, though. The more of the story isn't to get more uppity. The moral is don't talk **** unless you can take the heat. Obviously, you can't.

Ooh got a grammar mistake. I think you mean "moral" of story. Also what am I right about? Weird grammar, where do I make this moral point. You are a hypocrite, a grammar nazi with not so good grammar himself. I admit I'm no grammar master, I just post on a political forum. I feel lame even acting like you in highlighting your tactics. It's about ideas not rhetorical games and image with me. Again debate my positions and stop with the attacks or STFU.
