The Automobile Association of America says the national average for regular is now $3.75 a gallon. That’s a 15-cent jump from a week ago.

Gas prices climb to four-month high

This is such Bull....What the hell is going on here? 4 years ago when gas prices were $3.57 a gallon we got this from Obama...

If you watch the first minute of this video from 2008, using an Indianapolis gas station as a prop to spew his rhetoric you get a real feeling of just how dishonest, and cynical this man is.

At that time gas as I said was $3.57 per gallon, today the national average was $3.79 and experts on the industry say that this spring and summer it will be no surprise to see gas go over $4.00 per gallon.

This is such Crap! Obama policies have artificially inflated the price of gas to make his gigantic failures in green energy seem necessary, IOW, he has created a fake crisis to justify the waste of our money in ventures like Fisker, whom now is being eyed by the Chinese for purchase, AFTER we flushed $500 million down their toilet....

What say you?

Let it reach $5.00. Only way to waken the comatose public is to hurt them in the pocketbook.
Get unemployment to 12%. A patriotic is anything legal that will collapse the federals in
Washington.

I don't think that would work...All you would have are the poor, and working poor, now encroaching into the middle classes a confiscatory taxation that is hidden, and would zap any power for the economy to recover at all....

Get unemployment to 12%.

Real numbers suggest it is higher than that now.

Washington.

I don't subscribe to the "burn it down" theory of fixing our problems...That would be horrible.

It is around $3.70 in my corner of the woods so I guess I should feel like I am getting a bargain when I fill up :(

Yeah, sad isn't it? If Obama is so for the "little guy" how could he possibly look at this situation, and NOT do something to mitigate the economic hammer being dropped on the middle, and poor class in this country?

I blame QE3. Or is it 4?

Devalue the dollar enough and the price of foreign oil shoots up, driving gas prices up over $5.

Well the answer is pretty simple--Obama is more worried about having good exhibits at his Presidential Library and having rich fat cats build it for him than he is the "Little guy". Nobody wins the WH without blowing rich people and corporations--the only difference between the two parties is which CEO's get the lap dance.

Very good Calamity. Yes oil is bought and sold on the world market with greenbacks.

The dollar plunges and gas prices increase.

A weak dollar also helps US exports but right now with so many families struggling, its the increasing gas prices thats leaving their mark.

Obama has been the banks and Wall Streets best buddy.

Its surreal, with his "eat the rich" rhetoric and so many people buying into it.

Well, corporate influence should be watched carefully, but I am not anti capitalist by any means, so in the end I still think the power, the real power resides in the people, as long as they are willing to exert it.

It does but they will not exert in ways that are best for the country ahead of what they think might be good for them. People in general put more thought into their lottery numbers than they do their vote and they lose at both.

Well, I can't argue with that too awful much. After seeing how this last cycle went, there are real concerns about the future of the nation as a free country.

It seems to me there is a move underway to get the public used to higher gas prices in the US in preparation for a significant increase in gasoline taxes that is looming. President Bush was dragged through the coals when gasoline spiked during his administration. President Obama continues to be insulated for the most part.

As the CAFE increases up to it's 2025 mandate of 55mpg, tax revenue will drop significantly. That means Federal and State governments are going to have to do something about replacing that revenue. The poor and needy will be hardest hit. Seems that's part of the plan.

Well yes when you go ahead and decide your political opponents have the motivations of your average comic book supervillain, it sure makes for an easy argument to win, eh?

MUAHAHAHAH! SOON THE POOR WILL... HAVE TO PAY MORE TAXES... MAUAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Do us evil liberals want to screw the poor or do we want to give them handouts? Make up your mind!

Both...

Both are the same side of the evil coin....

Well, given the actions of you "evil" liberals, it's quite obvious you enjoy doing both. :rock

Um, those fixed levels (since '93) represent a 40% decline in inflation adjusted REAL terms....since they are not a percent of the sale but a fixed amount per gal.....along with the fact that we are buying less fuel since our vehicles get better mileage....not to mention that unless your state legislators are cheating, those funds are allocated to roads. How this translates to "the poor" getting "hit" is yet to be explained.

I want it to climb as punishment for people voting him back into office. They deserve it.

Wow, more comic book fans! They've discovered my fiendish plot. To give people... stuff. But also raise their gas prices, that really furthers my plan because

"YOUR" plot? Man, you really have an unrealistic view or yourself don't you? Nah, the only thing you are responsible for is voting for it, and ofcourse willingly being a dupe for administration propaganda, and arguing for it....

So you don't think the poor are more impacted by higher gasoline prices than others?

That's remarkable.

I've got a guy who can look at your sarcasm detector for you. Good guy, cheap rates.

So, maybe you can help educate me then. How does higher gas prices further the Obama Agenda?

You people elected the least qualified candidate in Washington because he was black and "cool" and because the media told you to.
