Meteorite strikes, 'around 100 injured'

On a serious note. Luckily it didint hit a really densly populated area, as it is it was still pretty damn destructive. Best of luck to Russia and my sympathies to the families that lost loved ones.

Great news - an amazing affirmation of life. Safe travels. It's above freezing here now, so I have to get going. I have to put in two new hitching posts for the horses. They demand that they each have their very own. Yet another entitlement.
 
Ha. Heard on CNN that the reason there is so much video footage of this meteor is that Russians have started adding cameras to their cars to try to protect themselves from widespread police corruption.
 
So how long until Uncle Joe says this is a sign we should pass gun control?

Chelyabinsk has a population of 1.1 million. What's your definition of "populated?" It airburst over Chelyabinsk, but one of the pieces landed in Zlatout, which has a population of about 174,000. Still populated by any standard.

Putin's working on meteorite control laws as we speak. When metorites are criminalized, only criminals will have meteors.

Some of them use them to brag about their crazy-ass driving. And they are crazy-ass drivers. Riding in a car in Moscow is a white-knuckle experience, trust me. Been there, done that.
