“Police responded to a shooting at Price Middle School in Atlanta early Thursday afternoon, WSBTV reports.

Authorities say that multiple people, including a 14-year-old, were wounded, according to Fox News.

Police said the teen was shot in the back of the neck and immediately transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, 11Alive reports. The second victim - a teacher - received medical attention for minor cuts and bruises.

The school was placed on lockdown.”

A 14-year-old student shot in the head at an Atlanta school Thursday is “alert, conscious and breathing,” said police.

Impossible, schools are gun free zones, this must be a misprint. I note that the report is one shot fired, outside the school, and that the other injuries were likely due to panic tramplings of confused, frigtenend folks. One kid shooting another kid is not unusual, only the outside of school part makes this "shocking" or newsworthy.

Way to take a shooting and turn it into your personal crusade against any type of gun control. I'm sure the victims and their families are glad they could help.

OK genius, what is gun control going to do about school kids with guns? I await your reply.

Is the shooter NOT in really, really big trouble for having a gun in a school zone and shooting someone with it? Will making the illegal gun used even more "illegal" help to stop these shootings? Will gun control make this juvenile that has (possibly) attempted (at least) murder, already using an "illegal" gun (since shooter was a minor) in a gun free school zone get even fewer cookies with his kiddie jail meal? When these acts are ALREADY illegal, adding more ways that they are illegal does nothing at all, IMHO.
