If you ever go to your urologist and ask to be sterilised, feel free to insist on castration when vasectomy is offered because it doesn't fit your definition.
 
If this happened where women were forced to receive the depo shot without consent or knowing what it was then that is wrong. However, I don't see sufficient proof to believe that this happened or that it's a stance of the Israeli government or if it did happen if it was done by individuals or a small bureaucratic group acting wrongly. I'm also not saying that this didn't happen, because there just isn't sufficient info yet to make any kind of reasonable claim (at least from what I've gleaned).

Let's look for facts before believing sensationalized media outlets. Like I said, I think some people will believe anything critical of Israel because they need to believe that Israel is some kind of racist or evil nation that is run by a racist evil government.

Understood or not, he would not have been sterilized with a vas.

You base that on 30 interviews conducted by 1 researcher, in which the women dodged/denied absolute knowledge about the birth control injection, and that Israel issued an order to make sure that patients are especially surely informed before any shots begin or continue.

Makes me wonder if it is a cultural thing happening here.
(?) Culturally they shouldn't be taking BC so when asked they deny it, or say they were forced, but when one-on-one with their health care provider they agree and take it. (?)

Don't know if that is the case. Just a suppos'n.

It's common for developing world women to conceal birth control and this is a very easy way to do so. They're not just gonna own up because the researcher, recording their responses, is female. They're gonna watch their ass, from their husbands, and stfu.

The fact that developing world women opt for birth control, despite objections from husbands and social expectations, is what's worthy of investigation here.

Well, I've heard that argument a lot for CTs, however that ignores the fact that they may not tell because they know that they will suffer, whether it be economically, socially, or otherwise. This isn't to say that all CTs are like this or that this argument is in specific reference to the ongoing debate, but rather is speaking generally about CTs.

You don't get it, do you. According the reports we read the State of Israel was initially giving these shots IN ETHIOPA to black women before they even got on the plane to Israel and were told unless they agreed to them they wouldn't GET ON THE PLANE.

So again I ask, were the same shots coerced from WHITE JEWS from Europe, Russia or the US and for god's sake WTF WAS ISRAEL EVEN DOING GIVING BIRTH CONTROL SHOTS PRIOR TO ENTRY INTO ISRAEL IN THE FIRST PLACE!

They're recent immigrants from there, yes? A few years in Israel does not change the ingrained social expectations, especially in relative luxury. These women are subject to developing world gender expectations and the ability to get birth control without telling ones husband is a nice option that we can expect most developing world women, be it South America, Asia or elsewhere, to take. We can also expect that they would not own up to being on birth control (or being fully aware of such, especially negatives that the husbands would use against their decision) just because some western researcher, who will probably publish stuff, shows up with questions for them. People don't just flush their life 'cause some chick shows up and is like "hey, what about this!"

Sadly, that's the life of the average developing world woman and birth control. Sure, some husbands want birth control, but not most.
