No, I don't reject it, I just think our society has hasn't evolved enough yet. Perhaps after the Democrats retake the House in 2014! :cool:

Only the very extreme far right worry about the SHTF. And like I said, it will be a couple of centuries before our society evolves to the point where a total gun ban would ever be passed.

Whats wrong with having weapons around? I used to have an irrational fear of their presence (outside of a policeman's holster) but now am quite comfortable around firearms.

In fact they help me sleep better.

That's because there are about 120 million drivers and 4 million gun owners.

There are over 200 million licensed drivers in the US as of 2009 and the number of households with guns is easily 10x what you've shown. I suggest you check your facts or provide references for your data.

Since there is no national gun registration I doubt there is hard evidence for the number of gun owners from Uncle Sam. But if this data is even close to right there are well over 2 million gun owners in my state alone and we're almost halfway down the list:
