That's why they refer to themselves as "progressives." This is just another one of their antics to desensitize individuals. The tyrants hate the Bill of Rights but they know they cant just get rid of it - that takes time and progress. Too bad most people don't see that.

Many see it but simply choose to see more personal advantage than personal harm. They assure themselves that gov't power will ever more belong to those "good folks" like them, not that the "bad guys" will ever get elected to turn that gov't power against them. Who in Germany would ever have believed that nut, like Hitler, could ever come to power?

When the wefare state goes broke, note that I said WHEN not IF, we will see if the gov't supported sheeple will remain calm and starve quietly or must then be "controlled" by those that seek to keep what they are so sure that they now own. The liberals know that the more gov't dependent folks that there are, the more they can ask of you in taxation to keep them calm, fed, comfortable and controlled. The less guns/personal defense force that you have, then the more dependent upon that gov't that you will become, for your very life.

Also remember this - your military wont do a goddamn thing and the people with the guns will be in charge. Anyone and everyone who opposes such a thought will promptly be placed in prisons on charges of treason. Also you will have no damn say in the matter because you won't be the one with the gun.

With that said I would dare anyone to try to take an AR-15 from a patriot. Ruby Ridge and Waco will be nothing compared to what will happen then. You'll end up with a full blown civil war. Of course the ones who started it will be hiding under the rocks they crawled out from. The military won't back your tyranny they will back the Bill of Rights which they were sworn to uphold and protect. Don't forget you're already pissing the majority of the military off with your attempt to ban guns.

The last thing progressives want to even attempt to do is to take a gun with a pen.

That's how progressives buy votes. If a progressive want's food on the table they must vote for their masters, if unions want government contracts they must support the progressives... They're all government dependent. Now they want to ban guns so they can make everyone government dependent...

Their goal is an authoritarian communist state and a globalist authoritarian world. Where there is the elite such as Pelosi, Obama, Frank, Reid etc and then there are the rest of us slaving for them. No middle class, no opportunities.

Of course progressives will scoff at that, however they will ignore the fact that it has happened several times in the past.

Total nonsense. None of this happened in NY, where all of the sheeple were limitted to 7 rounds carried "legally" only in gov't registered guns, and not a peep of resistance. You will calm yourself saying OK, that was only "way over there", it could never happen here. This is likely to become national law fairly soon; then what? Yep. Nothing - because you will either shut up and hide or pay up. This talk of armed resistance will never happen because some fool has to be the first to try it. Somehow I doubt that will be you. It's already happened... We've already had one civil war...

Being a student of history has taught me that civilizations don't go very long without a revolt, civil war or coup.. Hell I can name at least 15 in the past 100 years... It would be ignorant to even suggest the US is immune from such a concept - especially considering we're already done it a couple of times.

Eventually there will be a civil war. I find it amusing progressives don't comprehend that. Funny how progressives believe they're all smart and intellectual yet they ignore history. Progressive arrogance is something to laugh at - it's pure ignorance.

Do you not realize patriots are pissed this "gun regulation" is even being discussed? The notion that patriots won't take up arms is absolutely delusional considering their convictions and their love for freedom.

You don't understand what it is to be a libertarian... We're the keepers of freedom and we're the keepers of most of the guns in this country... We say "no" and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

As far as your concerns on how a war would start - try Ruby Ridge or Waco type event. Something like that happens, well the authorities will be out-maned 20-1. Hell Ruby Ridge came inches from a revolt and McVeih did what he did in response to Waco.

Now I'm not the one to fire the first shot but you better believe if **** hits the fan I will be there to defend our founding fathers ideas. I wont let civil liberties be legislated away... Those kids that died for civil liberties will not have them stripped by a bunch of idiots with a pen. That will never happen.

I suppose people die but ideas don't change.

I suppose it's easy to go with the flow (progressive philosophy) but it is a lot harder to swim up river (libertarian philosophy) but someone has to do it. People are uneducated and distracted by their Obama phones, free food, free life at the expense of others to even comprehend why the US exists. Civil liberties mean nothing to them. They would trade their freedoms for a bunch of junk.

Yeah well killing random people isn't exactly the appropriate way. My convictions have nothing to do with killing but I suppose if there was a civil war I would.

Honestly the SCOTUS would never uphold a gun ban - hell they tried it here in Chicago and it was shot down. Not to mention congress would never approve a gun ban or regulations.

Obamaclown can write all the executive orders on gun bans he wants but all it takes is 66% of congress to veto it.

Obama and his cronies are just showing how much of a tyrant he actually is, but thankfully we have a system in place that will bitch-slap him back into reality where he is not dictator in his mind.

However the people without guns are seriously pissing off the people with guns.

Gun safety regs are still on the books, and they will continue to increase.

And the Delicate Flowers on the right will assuage their hurt widdle feelings with angry posts on the internet threatening a civil war that will never happen because they're all waiting for someone else to start it.
