Gene Rosen, Sandy Hook Hero, Harassed By Conspiracy Theorists Who Claim He's An Actor

On the morning of the shooting, Gene Rosen of Newtown, Conn., was feeding his cats when he discovered four terrified children hiding out in his driveway. They told him their teacher was dead, and he listened to their chilling account of the tragedy still going on at the nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School.

In the aftermath, Rosen, 69, was interviewed by many of the media outlets that descended on the small community, and his anguished face flashed across television screens around the world.

The sincerity of that anguish was questioned by a group of conspiracy theorists who call themselves "truthers," Salon reported earlier this month. These truthers have so far posted Rosen's personal information online, created fake social media accounts using his name and harassed him via email and phone.

Because a vast majority of the RIGHT/libertarian/Indi are conspiracy theorist. That's why. Hell, just look at the white winged media. :2wave:

Curiously nothing in the OP's linked story mentions this "rightwing" angle at all. Some cats think that assertion = proof, even if no such evidence is presented. The story is about people questioning the use of this "witness" to tell us what is obvious, the killing of innocent children is not good and makes decent folks get upset. There is no need to "document" this fact, as certainly none question it. What this cat is upset about, is anyone daring to complain about (or question) this "emotional appeal" being used to justify taking away the gun rights of those who were in no way involved with this, or any oher, crime.

I love it when conservatives have to pretend they are something they aren't. Let's see, which political persuasive gets bent out of shape about passing gun laws and thinks the government is conspiring to take their beloved Glocks? Come on, you can say it!

Well you were so certain he was part of the right wing, which tends to be the GOP. I was just thinking you had documentation to support your statements and weren't just pulling it out of your ass. My bad I guess.

So, just what does this "witness" have to offer concerning a shooting that he neither saw nor heard? Oh that's right! Nothing at all, yet his "feelings" about the matter are important to the story. Little kids were upset, yet make for terrible TV interviews, so lets use an old man upset about hearing of a crime to convey... Well to convey the need for more gun laws!

Yep, we need more gun laws, because little kids should not ever have to be crime victims. Just 23 new executive orders and a new AWB with magazine limits will end all child crime victims, just like from 1994 to 2004, when we had no gun crime, well hardly any at all - well more than now, but never mind that fact. ;)
