don't you think that creates an obvious liability in the school and particularly in her class room? Do you think it's infringing on a persons right if an employer deems that their personal activity impinges on their ability to competently perform their job? Are sponsors infringing on someone's rights when they drop a personality due to their controversial behavior and statements?

I would say the nature of the two things causing the scandal are completely different. In fact, I think the most obvious analogy raised was the one comparing it to getting a controversial tattoo on one's forehead

Speaking of which, teachers and teacher candidates are regularly expected, or reminded respectively, to not display their tattoos, socially unaccepted piercings, or have what is deemed unusual coloring in their hair.

Actually knew a guy with "crackhead" scrawled across his forehead. It looked like a child wrote it. Clearly no one is going to give this guy a job where he needs to represent the face of the company or interact with clients for that fact alone.

So not all reasons that we discriminate against people for exist on an equal footing. Some are rather reasonable and justified

1.) liability? no (in today's world everything could be though ;))
2.) yes unless theres proof and that is directly related to me. its basically case by case.
3.) not even the same ball park but IF it can be proven that the sponsor without just cause YES it is and this has been the case SOMETIMES. But again totally different ballpark.

I guess you have only yourself to blame if you lied on your resume. :shrug: You might not like to hear this, but ultimately YOU are responsible for your own actions. If you lie on an application or on your resume, and you get caught, that's your own fault and NOT the people who fired you.

Nobody likes a liar.

I definitely didnt see the in the link of the OP, ill have to look again, id like to know exact details about it if its true because in my opinion she got shafted

and personally im fine with her not disclosing (if thats the "lie") but you cant lie about qualifications/certifications etc.

Not me. If she lied, then she deserves to be fired, especially considering the nature of the job, working with impressionable children.

So, not only is she a former pornography queen (a little different if posing in the nude . . . IF you know what I mean :lol:), she is also a liar. Two things I wouldn't want my child exposed to from his/her teacher. :shrug: But that's just me.

That is just what another poster said that he/she read, that she apparently lied when confronted initially and she said it wasn't her.

Impressionable children: It is the children who discovered her former career. How can they be expected to sit in a classroom and take a teacher seriously who they watched have sex online? You seriously think the students (especially the male students) will take her seriously and have respect for her as their teacher in general?

I believe any lie, on any job application, for any company, any where in the USofA, is reasonable grounds for dismissal.

And not disclosing or hiding past employment history is lying.

because they are children, shes and adult and they do as they are told. if they have an issue with that the problem is theirs, their parents, that teacher and the administration that cant make them do such.

The normal and good kids will be fine, the others are dealt with accordingly.

how many teachers have had sex changes?
etc etc etc

the fact that shes a teacher and they are the student is all they need to be in line.

My gyms was really old, i seen his whole ass and he **** himself one time, guess what, while the kids joked about it, he still commend respect and he received it because that was his and the faculty's choice.

Porn isnt illegal, doesnt make her a criminal and it has no ability to impact them without the fault and or short comings of the parents/faculty involved :shrug:

1.) did this factually happen?
2.) nope not unless some contract or verbiage says so, certain things arent even allowed to be discussed if you worked on classified materials or copyright items or development etc etc
3.) is he active or is it in his past? did he commit crimes do illegal activity?

whould i want somebody who practices <insert religion here> or what about a school counselor that is also a console at an abortion clinic in the evenings? or for gay couples? I democratic/republican party organizer?

where is the line? who gets to draw it?

(note: im not saying any of this would bother YOU specifically im just giving examples)

100% wrong, i work with them directly, thanks, now i do more at the HS this year but just as recent as last year i was doing both and the year before that strictly MS.

now if you are simply saying that the children are more classless and disrespectful nowadays and that parents also let them be, then yes I agree but again thats not the teachers fault, thats the fault of kids/parents.

I would've giggled about it for a week, then something new would've come along. I also would've kept my mouth shut after the first kid got suspended for teasing her about it.
