Shooting reported at California H.S.[W92]

You make the mistake of presupposing “strict gun control” in CA.

In addition to the groundbreaking assault weapons ban, California enacted a slew of some of the country's strictest gun control laws during the 1990s and 2000s.

Once again, California holds the top spot with the nation’s strongest gun laws that help combat the illegal gun market, prevent the sale of guns without background checks and reduce risks to children, according to the Brady Campaign

Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence

California is a model of sensible gun laws. Its universal background check system, strong gun dealer regulations, and assault clip ban are just some of the laws that provide a roadmap to preventing gun violence. Meanwhile, Arizona, Alaska, and Utah do not have a single common sense gun law on their books, according to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

Listen, dumbfuck thundercuunt, nobody said that gun control laws would prevent all gun related murders. It's just like DUI laws don't stop all people from drinking and driving. It's just like shoplifting laws don't prevent everyone from shoplifting.

I swear you are so stupid you should be required to carry a potted plant around just to replace the oxygen you waste.

Sorry Redress, I hope this doesn't reflect badly on the liberals who are respectfully discussing this issue. I hope the victim is okay.

You are right, nobody said gun control laws would prevent all gun related murders. You going to give us a hint at what your point was:lol:

Actually, I was just returning that annoying habit of repetition, you inflicted earlier in the thread. That said, 'you don't have strict gun control, period.

Paul

Why didn't our strict gun control laws prevent this shooting?

I'm reminded why parents destroyed Furbies, people hated Eiffel 65, and absolutely hate those moments where their toddler keeps asking that annoying question, "why?"

Here you go:

Don't forget to water it.

You are the one who asked umpteen times why the gun control laws didn't prevent this shooting.

Exactly, "This shooting". Not all shootings.

This shooting =/= all shootings.

So I am still curious on what your point of "preventing all shootings" was about:lol:

Gun related tragedy = liberals looking for gun control

This will be no different.

Get over your hyper partisan self.

Let's be realistic here, especially in a thread where in this case the "other" side started it

Gun Related Tragedy = Hyper Partisan individuals who enjoy using still warm dead bodies as political tools to push their agenda.

Left or Right...both of them seem to not let a crisis go to waste when it comes to raping a tragedy for their political benefit.

I'm reminded why parents destroyed Furbies, people hated Eiffel 65, and absolutely hate those moments where their toddler keeps asking that annoying question, "why?"

I don't remember toddlers using tragedies to further their political agenda either:lol:

What does any of this have to do with figuring out why our strict gun control laws failed to prevent this shooting?

Yea because no children were killed

If there was a pile of innocent little dead bodies you'd be the first one demanding a repeal of the 2nd Amendment. You can get off your soap box now.

Your argument would be more useful if it was in any way anchored in reality, but then that'd make it difficult becuase then you'd have to use actual facts rather then your hyper partisan bull****. We had a tragedy recently with a number of children killed...I'm sure then, since you're making this claim, you'll have no issue finding posts by Redress on their "soapbox" and "demanding a repeal of hte 2nd amendment".

I am sure you are.

Not to dismiss the tragedy of a school shooting...ANY school shooting...but...this kind of occurrence is pretty commonplace. There have been recent shootings at or near schools in Florida, Oregon, Ohio, North Carolina, Texas, and more than a few gang related shootings in schools in California (Compton, LA, Avalon Park, etc). And this says nothing of the number of students beaten or stabbed (a fairly day to day event) in schools across the country.

Tragic event. Hopefully families can put the pieces back together. This is a problem far greater than guns or what laws should or shouldnt have reduced the problems.

Why didn't our strict gun control laws prevent this shooting?
Dood...first...that tactic is annoying as hell. Second...let me play devils advocate. California's gun laws DID have an impact...why...they stopped it from being worse because all the guy used was a shotgun.

You arent as clever as you think you are being.

That does not make them “strict” in a larger than the US sense. :D

You don't know that. A shotgun could just be his weapon of choice.

Regardless, he brought a gun in a "gun free zone". He should have known we have gun control laws prohibiting that.

1) My favorite color is blue, so I am OK with this.
2) Not only have I enjoyed children asking “why?”, because they are bright and want to learn so it is a genuine “why?”, it can be a great source of amusement, leveraged on others. ((make sure to read the mouse-over text for the comic)) :D

One must first have sense, to make sense.
Which really puts you in the hole, and why you are getting your butt kicked up and down this thread. :)
