Navy Seeks to Combat Unplanned Pregnancies

Liberals are the ones who want to use the military for social experimentation.............Very few young people use birth control....That is the reason for the epedimic of pregnancies.

Are you really trying to make the claim that liberals were the driving force behind women being in the military?

These dumb broads never should've tried to join a man's navy right? Serves the bitches right for getting raped huh?

There are things in life that men can not do vice versa my left wing friend.......No matter how you on the far left want to make the military a social experiment that will not change.

I could maybe understand your point if you were talking about the a rugged combat arms job like infantry, but you're not. You're talking about being a cook, running a radar dish, or cleaning floors on a boat that will more than likely never see a shot fired at them. Being on a navy ship is as safe as being at the beach. Just admit that you're sexist.

You know what they say . . . "The Marines are always looking for a few good men . . . Navy Corpsmen."

Joking aside, Navy corpsmen... they are the real deal. There are there step for step with the Marine grunts on the ground.

A ship would be a particularly difficult locale for rape. But, then, all the claims he is making about rape on ships and pregnancies made on ships are all stuff our anti-military pacifist OP friend just makes up anyway.

I loved my Navy Career and I love the Navy...Best move I ever made in enlisting........That said I make no claim about rapes aboard ship....I am talking about pregnancies...why can't you get that through your head?

If you knew anything about the Navy you would know that every crew member has a General Quarters and it has nothing to do with your primary job..You might be a P250 or P500 handler or the first loader on a 3"50 or handling projectile for a 5"54 gun. A lot of men can't handle that and most every woman can't.

Right there at the top of page two. Post #11... and several times since then in this thread.

The rape rate goes hand in hand with the pregnancy rate.

You are really getting disgusting now so I will not respond to any of your posts on this subject again and will put you on ignore because you are not capable of responding civilly to a post...No need to respond to this post I won't see it.

I told you lefties a long time ago that this is what you get when you mix young men and women at sea for a long period of time....No matter what the restrictions are they will get together and make unwanted babies.

Navy Seeks to Combat Unplanned Pregnancies | Military.com

7 Jan 2013

Up to 65 percent of pregnancies in the military are self-reported as unplanned, according to a December report by The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' Committee on Health Care for Underserved Women.
Nearly three-fourths of all Navy pregnancies were unplanned, according to a recent parenthood survey conducted by the service. Of those, only 31 percent of the couples were using birth control at the time they conceived. With pregnancies involving enlisted servicewomen, 70 percent of the fathers were also in the military

Wow, looks like our current Navy personnel lack intelligence about conception, clueless about self control, no idea about prevention, and completely devoid of common sense.

Maybe it is time to privatize the Navy to save money and increase efficiency.

Your source said nothing about shipboard pregnancies either NP. You made **** up again.

Navy, I read the entire thread and I read the entire article...a couple of points. One the article doe not specify on ship pregnancies it address ' unwanted pregnancies in more general terms and second.
The abuse heaped on you in this thread is reminicent of the abuse that gets heaped on anyone against gay marriage. Stand your ground Old Sailor...thats what us old guys have always done..

Not every person on a ship is a munition loader, and you know they're not. Most have absolutely nothing to do with combat when it comes to general quarters. You've still failed to give a reason why women can't be on ships, other than they rape easy.

Disgusting? You're the one who said women shouldn't be on boats, I'm just following your logic. You pretty much directly said it's the liberals fault that women in the navy got raped because "the liberals said women should be in the navy". THAT is truly disgusting.

A female relative of mine became pregnant on cruise---twice.

Well she did marry one of the baby daddies so I guess it wasn't pure randiness.

Waitaminute!! So you're saying she went on a cruise while single and got pregnant, and when the guy didn't marry her, she went on another cruise? And got pregnant again?

What's her #? I'd like to take her on a vacation. (jus kiddin')

Yep. That is exactly what happened. She married the 2nd guy. She has like 600 kids now so I'll gladly give you her number :)

600?

(gulp) nevermind

LOL. She has several. I've joked with her that she has only done 20% of every year of service because she has been pregnant so many times.
