Early flu season accelerates; no peak yet, CDC says

I just read some where that the current flue vaccine DOES NOT include the latest strain that's causing the biggest problems.

. What people fail to understand is that the shot will not be effective for all strains of the flue. They choose the worst, most virulent strains to make the vaccine. You can get the shot and still get the other strains. From what I have recently heard, they may have failed to include a strain that is rapidly spreading.

I understand that completely. That is my point. There are so many ways the flu virus can mutate that it is almost impossible for them to get it right. And by vaccinating everyone every year for the many ways they think it may turn, they are forcing it to turn more.

The flue has no mechanism for awareness of people getting vaccinated. I am not aware of any scientific basis to believe that vaccines lead to more or faster mutations. There is good new on the horizon however, as a new vaccine method is being developed not that will attract to a part of a virus that changes very little when they mutate. This would create a perennial vaccine.

It's impossible to get flu from a flu jab! It may not protect you from all variants, but it can even minimise the effect of those. What it can't do is infect you.

As for the MMR vaccine fraud, though Wakefield had undeclared conflicts of interest, I don't recall him actually working on an alternative vaccine. He was nevertheless struck off the Medical Register, and can no longer work as a doctor.

This is correct. The flu vaccine is no longer made from attenuated viruses. It is made from recominant DNA. When it was attenuated viruses, it almost killed me and I was told never to take it again. Now, I can take it with no problem whatsoever.

Doesn't work that way with a vaccine
