About ****ing time. With regards to justice, Tom sure as hell lived up to his last name.

Tom DeLay Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison

Former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, once considered among the nation's most powerful and feared lawmakers, was sentenced to three years in prison Monday for a scheme to influence elections that already cost him his job, leadership post and millions of dollars in legal fees. The sentence comes after a jury in November convicted DeLay, a Houston-area Republican, on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering for using a political action committee to illegally send corporate donations to Texas House candidates in 2002. Prosecutors said DeLay will likely be free for months or even years as his appeal makes it through the Texas court system.

The whole thing is exactly what Dave Chappele exemplified in this bit called "Tron Carter's Law & Order". Two different justice system's indeed.

Agreed. Going after the politicos is a lot like going after Capone. Takes forever to nail the bastards. Now, in a decade or so maybe they'll finally nab Reid.

I was amazed by how fast they took down Randall Duke Cunningham. That is about the only fast legal move I've ever seen on a politician of that level. And even that wasn't like kicking in his doors, putting him in handcuffs and taking him to jail.

Glad to see justice being served finally against that crook.

Yet democrats here in Chicago do exactly what DeLay did all the time and pretend it's business as usual.

It's funny how republicans are held to a higher standard than democrats. Democrats can be blatant criminals and get away with it because their constituents don't care just as long as they get their free money.

Kind of weak to deflect with a conspiracy charge.

bull ****
but prove me wrong; show us your proof

It's not conspiracy - Its called "Chicago politics" - ever hear?

Few care around here just because they get free crap on the taxpayers coin and that is enough to allow people to look the other way when mass corruption is taking place. Not to mention Chicago is filled with masses of idiots who couldn't tell you who Ronald Reagan was. But that is the way democrats like it here in Chicago because they know all they have to do is spend epic amounts of taxpayers money on social programs and they will stay in power and get away with their corruption.

Hell they've made numerous movies and TV shows about how corrupt Chicago actually is.

Chicago is a corruption circus and the democrat politicians here are proud of that, not only that but they act like they're doing nothing wrong.

first article points out that donations were made to democrats
second article points out that public union donations favor democrats
and the third article tells us that in the 90's there was a corruption investigation in chicago

none of that shows us what you wrongly asserted:
It's funny how republicans are held to a higher standard than democrats.

so yes, show us proof of that

Well don't you think Republicans should hold themselves to a higher standard than democrats? Isn't that kind of a good thing?

Of course it's good, but it's not like anyone cares. If democrat "voters" actually held their candidates to the same standards as republicans there wouldn't be a democrat party.

Not only was there an FBI investigation - 6 democrat alderman were arrested and sent to prison for various federal crimes.

Sorry, when your local government (99% democrat btw) is investigated by the FBI like the mafia -- that is embarrassing. The same crap is going on today, these democrats just learned (for the most part) how to circumvent detection.

Sorry if an FBI investigation that led to 6 democrats going to prison isn't proof enough for you.

Definitely not proof Democrats are held to a different standard.

At no point while you were writing this did you think you were defeating your own argument?

Especially when one considers Blagoyamoron is actually in jail.

Sure, however I was placing more emphasis on the crazy criminal democrat alderman in my original post.

It's funny how republicans are held to a higher standard than democrats. .

Wow, just what one would expect from a righty. I wonder if he will find a new love in the big house?

No, because you and I both know if there are 6 busted there are 60 more that weren't...

I just find it fascinating.

For a political group of people that generally think liberals, African Americans and people who accept any form of government welfare think of themselves as victims of one thing or another they certainly feel very victimized themselves.

"Oh the government is taking away my freedom to go bankrupt from out of pocket medical costs, I'm being oppressed"

"The Media is persecuting conservatives"

"Hollywood persecutes conservatives"

"they're saying happy holidays, help the Christians are being persecuted"

"They wanna make gay marriage legal, Christians are being persecuted"

The list goes on and on.

No, because you and I both know if there are 6 busted there are 60 more that weren't...

Just keep digging the hole buddy.

Your dishonesty is wholly on display for all to see.
