Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following con

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

We all know that for those who hate the President, not one word Sec. Clinton says in testimony will change your opinions. That is a fact and cannot be denied.

No matter what she says, the haters will hate.

What's that got to do with anything? Of course we're going hate...he's half black!

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

How many times have you judged the looks of a male politician? Just curious.

Here is a reality for you. Old women are old women. Old men are distinguished. That's the way things are viewed in our society.

And she's an accomplished politician whereas you're not. Show some respect. Or have we reached the point where the masses cannot hold in esteem those that serve them?

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

Her blood clot will magically desolve the very day she leaves office and will not testify before congress as a sitting sec of state.

You will have to face the fact that liberal politicians are not held in the slightest sort of esteem. It seems strange that you still believe that "Public Service" is some sort of service as opposed to the fact of it being a pathway to personal riches and power at the expense of those whom they "Serve."

Find and listen to the private recording of Hillary Clinton, Samantha Powers and Susan Rice, in which, referring to Kaddafi, Hillary says "He came, he saw, he died" and they all burst into uproarious laughter at the horrific death of a man, later sodomized and displayed in a freezer by filthy little cockroaches. You (most Americans) will be shocked and depressed, unable to understand the deviant mindset you are listening to. These are strange, depraved asexual people, unrecognizable to decent men and women. You wouldn't want them in your home, around your children and family.

1. That's the way things are viewed in [some of] our society.
2. That view is what I'm talking about and criticizing.

In sum, you've said nothing that wasn't already said implicitly or explicitly already. Congratulations.

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

Somewhere out there Bill is keeping his fingers crossed and hoping for good news...

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

yeah the side of the aisle that constantly referred to President Bush as Shrub now are preaching about holding public officials up with esteem. :lamo

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

No, it's the sexism of a historically male dominated culture that still tends to reduce women to their looks as opposed to their intelligence, talent, etc.. It's why Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice and Nancy Pelosi among others are much more insulted for their looks than any other male politician.

Yawn..

Bitch more.

Quoting a post to imply that you're not interested in it is self-defeating and makes you look like a moron.

No, I'm totally interested in your boring drivel. The guy commented on her looks because as a guy and like all men when he looks at women he makes a judgment on if they are attractive or not. Women do the same thing when they look at men in fact, so just shut the **** up about it. It is perfectly normal behavior and there is nothing sexist about it. If you are too stupid to understand this than don't talk of it.

Why give her respect again? Since when has she given me respect?

How do manage to be so passionate about something that is so "boring"? Amazing.

I'm one of those old fashioned people that believes our statesmen are our wisemen (or in this case, wisewoman). I'm not liberal enough to grant the fanciful democratic belief that somehow we should scorn out leaders. Their personal ambition is what it is, but they are the "Big Men" of History, as Hegel once put it. I suppose liberalism has taken hold so much that even the common man conservative thinks he's better than they are.

Why give her respect again? Since when has she given me respect?

Did you move to shake her hand or something? Otherwise, she hasn't a clue who you are.

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

Hope she gets well soon. Never good to see anyone have health problems

And those with blinders on will continue to not give half a ****...

Re: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted to hospital with blood clot following

People don't realize how much this dumb focus on women's looks exists. It's so ingrained in society. It's a shame.

I'm guessing you were waving this flag just as proudly and widely during 2008 when there were CONSTANT comments about Palin's looks throughout the entire campaign (and even still today).

I do agree there's a certain level of sexism still ingrained in our society (Though I think where we may split is I think there will ALWAYS be a certain level, on both ends of that line) but I also think it's just as likely that it was done because it was the easiest means of insulting the other side. It's why we were treated to the strange Paul Ryan faces, Biden "foot in mouth" references, "Bushisms", hamburger/fast food jokes with Clinton followed by sex jokes with Clinton, crazy Howard Dean yells, Bob Dole 3rd person pencil wagging, and on and on. People tend to be lazy, and I think a lot of times when it comes to making negative comments towards people that's where it comes from. Is sometime the lazy path sexist or racist or bigoted or insensitive, or something similar? Sure. But I think often it's less motivated by those things then it is by simple laziness. Not excusing it, just saying I don't think it's the primary motivation often and I think that's part of why it won't fully go away.

I hope you are correct, just to piss your right-wing nuts off! I love it! :lamo

Honestly Zyphlin, the comments I read, and sometimes heard (on TV), regarding Palin's looks came mostly from the GOP side of the aisle on the forum I was on back in that day. From women too no less. "You're just jealous because she's beautiful." I can't repeat what some of the GOP men were saying on this part of DP. Palin was denigrated more for her lack of substance far more than her looks, excepting the Alaskan Barbie comments. I also cannot overstate how often I've seen posted that collage of pictures comparing conservative women to liberal women.

I do agree though, that it is an extremely lazy method of attacking a person, especially a woman, saying more about the person flinging the disparagement than the disparaged.

The topic is mundane and revolves around a fact on how people normally perceive others that only takes a tiny amount of self acknowledgment to realize. You apparently lack the ability to self analyze and without the knowledge in toe to assist you on your way there was no hope you would of have ever managed to lift yourself out of calling everyone and everything sexist without my assistance that I begrudgingly gave you. So no, I'm not passionate about the topic, but I was admittedly annoyed you required assistance on the matter.

She's really not what most would call an accomplished politician. I do wish her to get well soon though.

Gotta disagree. While I heard a number on the right making comments, I heard a great deal on the left suggesting she got the nomination because she was hot or referencing her as just a pretty face, or as you said the "alaskan barbie" comments. Which even with that...if you're buying into the inherent sexism notion, how many guys in politics have you heard called "airheads", a term I heard often when discussing Palin's intelligence.

Both sides got in on that game from what I remember.

What exactly am I supposed to respect about her. She's a political hack, nothing less, nothing more. BTW: I've never claimed to be a politician, accomplished or otherwise.
