G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes[W: 414]

Re: G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes

Clinton didn't have a balanced budget...

I could set a budget at 16 trillion dollars and call the surplus a goddamn surplus.

Furthermore Clinton is responsible for this economic situation in the first place.

FederalDeficit(1).jpg

Q: During the Clinton administration was the federal budget balanced? Was the federal deficit erased?

A: Yes to both questions, whether you count Social Security or not.

Re: G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes

What the hell do these three links have to do with voter suppression?I stopped reading after the first link showed that 53,000 people in Florida had the AUDACITY to die and wHILE still registered to vote. WTF were they supposed to do,with their dieing breath tell the next of kin...TAKE ME OFF THE VOTER ROLLS.

I like how you spin that there...Look, purging voter roles of dead voters is NOT suppression. Neither is determining what days, or how many days there will be for voting. There are I believe pockets of fraud by liberal groups in this country Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, PA to name a few....This takes place through this early voting, and absentee voting, as well as libs that bus in people with on the spot registration.

Re: G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes

I have come to see those citing the need to cling to their 'conservative' values as standing in the corner refusing to have an honest open debate on what the political leaders need to do for ALL citizens.

Sort of the hold my breath til I get my way 3 grader tactic... :peace

Open and honest debate? When will a liberal participate? Tell me how raising the taxes on the rich put 23 million unemployed/under employed/discouraged workers back to work? Compromise to Obama is giving him what he wants when he wants it. That isn't compromise that is caving to a dictator.

Since the Treasury Dept. disagrees with you and the debt service went up, CBO has no record of accuracy in that issue nor should it. Better find out what CBO stands for and what information they provide. If there was a balanced budget the debt service would drop and the debt wouldn't rise. Why did it?

You know that just means we took in more than we expected in the budget, not that we actually took in more than we spent don't you?

If its as "you believe"then like a good American Citizen, you should be reporting it to the proper authorities. Then just MAYBE, WE CAN TOP 100 voter fraud convection's FOR THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.:peace

The total budget was never balanced and most educated people understand that. Borrowing from intergovt. holdings doesn't create a balanced budget. You seem to be unable to comprehend the make up of the unified budget.

That's odd seeings as the CBO seems to think it was balanced.Evidently you are more adept at comprehending the balancing of the budget than the every bean counter in the CBO eh?

Do you want me to drag up the thread where you i,and the shiek were deep into this very subject and showed you where you were wrong on this...yet again?:peace

Some things never change, and you appear to be in that category. Tell me what a unified budget is and if the CBO numbers are for the unified budget? I don't understand what it is about liberals that they cannot comprehend the budgeting process.

Let's try this. You put money aside for a long term obligation and short term you have a crisis that you take money from that long term fund so you can cover that budget shortfall. Is that a balanced budget? Is your long term budget balanced?

Don't give me your rewashed BS.Even accrual accounting showed surpluses of $69.2 billion in fiscal 1998, $76.9 billion in fiscal 1999, and $46 billion for fiscal year 2000.Look it up.:2wave:

Have you asked the Treasury Dept for a refund on the debt service for those years since that debt service increased? Why is it the bank account of the United States, The U.S. Treasury, doesn't show a surplus? I don't know what it is about liberalism that creates this kind of loyalty. Apparently you have no problem looking and sounding foolish.

hey, no one said that liberals weren't good at it....Proficient at getting away with it. How else would a real douche like Frankin get his seat....? Surely not honestly.

Go back and look at the quoted post and then get back to me.

Look at the fact you are ignoring--we went further in debt every year during the Clinton years--

I guess seeings as you've changed the subject to an attack on me, this is your lame ass way of admitting that BJ managed to balance his budget, inspite of the raising taxes on upper-income taxpayers that they incorrectly SQUEALED out to all that would listen ,that it was the "largest tax increase in the history OF mankind.":(

In the years of 1998 we had a surplus of $69.2 billion*in 1999 it was $76.9 billion and in 2000 it was $46 billion.Dont mean that that there was no gov debt,it just means the books were in balance when george the second took office. Here check it out for yourself.:peace

Keep ignoring reality so if that is a personal attack so be it. As you have been shown the debt went up every year during the Clinton term and that wouldn't have happened with your claims of a surplus. You simply don't understand a unified budget. Liberal loyalty is making you look foolish.

You mean you hope that I don't have a representative that you can take out of context? Me too, after all we all know how good demo's are at that. But I'll take the prayers if you are truthful in offering them. Everyone needs good thoughts and prayers for their well being....:)

I'm not the one ignoring realty.I,v shown you the years,i'v shown you the amount if money and i,v even provided a link for you to go look at the data. yet, for what i am assuming are ideological reasons you still refuse to face realty. And you say that i look foolish?:lamo

Would you concede that a "surplus" in Washington speak, means something totally different from what most of America considers a true surplus?

There are many different ways to manipulate numbers to get them to say what you want them to. Clinton was a master at that. The problem is that we have a government now that is nothing like the Clinton years. During Clinton's time he realized early in his second term that he had to find a way to moderate his leftist tendencies, and work with a republican congress to get things done. Today, at least so far we don't have that. Obama has no interest in working with anyone, he wants it his way, or no way, and is willing to openly lie, divide, and destroy as much of this country's greatness in order to destroy the republicans with it....

The reality is you don't understand what makes up the deficit and debt because you don't understand what a unified budget is. You buy what the CBO tells you but ignores what the bank account of the United States shows you. Your loyalty to liberalism and Bill Clinton is noted but that doesn't change the fact that you are wrong.

QUOTE j-mac

Only if you go back and read my posts. What I was responding to was not the surplus part it was the balanced part. See below.*

Yes,that is why BJ's balanced budget, was called a "projected surplus" because of its ten year window... which dubya managed to blow up with his two unfunded wars and a prescription drug plan for seniors.

The problem is that we have a government now that is nothing like the Clinton years.

Very true. The main cause is the teabaggers elected to the house in 2010.

During Clinton's time he realized early in his second term that he had to find a way to moderate his leftist tendencies, and work with a republican congress to get things done.

That's a kinda odd statement to make, considering that the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act ,also called the Deficit Reduction Act , passed in August of 1993(seven months after he was sworn in) of that year, was passed without a single republican vote.Very odd statement, when you look at the dip in unemployment that soon followed.

Today, at least so far we don't have that.

Also true. today we have dysfunctional house of representatives with a teabager tail, wagging a republican house majority.

Obama has no interest in working with anyone, he wants it his way, or no way, and is willing to openly lie, divide, and destroy as much of this country's greatness in order to destroy the republicans with it....

You kinda like to build strawmen dontcha?:peace

A: Yes to both questions, whether you count Social Security or not.

It really doesn't matter - like I said I could set an astronomically high budget (or allow my Congress to do so) and we could call anything my congress did not spend a "surplus."

All that matters is that you DONT SPEND MORE THAN YOU TAKE IN, hence budgets don't mean anything.

A person who makes $1.000 dollars a month can spend $1,500 dollars a month and call that their budget while they borrow the rest when they only spent $700.00 on the month while calling that a "surplus."

Sorry if these ideas are too complicated for you to understand.
