G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes[W: 414]

Re: G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes

Look, I have not a problem with helping people that actually need the help, but, short of some extenuating factor that precludes them from finding employment to support themselves, then there should be a time limit on this aid, and not side stepped through going around congress, and through crony agencies, I also don't think that the dept of ag should be actively advertising for more participants. Is our goal to get people to work, or to get people to take government handouts?
You have once again decided to follow your red herring and ignore the substance of this discussion. You wanted to "be enlightened" on Pentagon waste, you have it and yet you purposely ignore it.

You proved my earlier point.

And this approach leaves no room for creative accounting.
If you haven't gotten it by this time in your life....

No, you miss the point. There is waste at magnitudes of the pentagon budget occurring in the rest of the government. But that can't be addressed, because they are liberal sacred cows.

Um, the Pentagon has the largest share, far and away, of the discretionary budget.....and with 25% of their budget UNACCOUNTED for, don't even start whining about SNAP. You have no argument about "not addressing" anything....at all.

PS...note that Vet payouts should be in the military budget along with much of "Science"......and SNAP is in the Ag sliver.

LOL...you think that last bit helps your argument? I mean ignoring the fact that Pentagon is notorious for underestimates, you don't understand how that phrase you quoted absolutely kills whatever point you think you had?

That's why i ignored it.

You need to do more praying for yourself and that disfunctinal idea call conservatism becausse it is an out an out joke! Fcats have been posted time and time agian yet you and others ingonore them. However, let me put it to you the other way Republicans lost the election, there was a choice for the Romney plan and Obama's. Obama's won period he is under no obligation to pass the robme plan!
Republicans, and therefore the American people, also won the election. The House of Representatives is firmly in Republican control. We can save the half of the country that voted for the Marxist from themselves if we get a Speaker who is conservative, principled and courageous. This will be difficult but it is not impossible.

The House can, and should, defund all of the leftist organizations. Then it should begin on all of the extra-constitutional agencies and departments. We can fix this. Yes we can!

Re: G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes

I admit, i was wrong.I was using old data, here is data for Dec.19,2012, that shows THE COST NOW EXCEEDS $223 MILLION DOLLARS PER:shock: instead of the $134.5 million that i quoted.

That being said,i was outraged at the old price but this number leaves me flabbergasted. WTF do we need these for?WhOTF is going to attack us that we need this kinda planes to defend ourselves? The talaban? The mullahs in Iran? Are the crazy one, in N. Korea that shoots missiles and hopes that it will make it off the launch pad?:(

That is what happens when the buy is cut in half or by two-thirds. The cost per plane goes up as the non-recurring engineering costs are spread across far fewer aircraft. We will always have threats to be concerned about. Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, the usual suspects.

Like it or not we will always have enemies. Their interests and our interests will differ enough. You are free to bury your head in the sand.

Why would China attack their best customer?

That is one pretty chart you have there....Can you tell me using that chart, how much of that spending is constitutionally mandated?

So...explain how building, what ultimitly will more than likely be a trillion dollar fighter, will protect us from
"Russia,China, Iran, North Korea ".

Russia would shoot missals at us, China..would attack the country that they hold so much debt for?Their best Customer?Hardly.

Iran?the mullahs that are just developing nukes. Why would a third of a $billion dollar strike fighter be needed to deter something that be taken care of with a few missile from and aircraft carrier that we have sitting in the gulf now.

North Korea...:lamo still eaten tree bark.

Re: G.O.P. Leaders in House Pull Tax Bill, Citing Lack of Votes

Why would China attack their best customer?
Hegemony over the Pacific.

They have spent a great deal of time over the last 40 years working out how to defeat us. One can never tell why the war will come. The best way to bring it on is to be unprepared for it.

The Pentagon and Ag budgets are not part of the non-discretionary budget.

On the red-herring scale, your comment goes off the chart.

Good grief.

Broaden your horizons just a bit. Not every war leads to nuclear exchanges.
The best way to prevent wards from starting or to end them on terms favorable to us is to be prepared for them. All wars are "come as you are" events. Air superiority gives all of our forces a substantial edge on real battlefields. The underlying technologies for offense and defense are not standing still.

This weapons platform is like a handful of silver bullets. One might not use them everyday. But when one needs them nothing else will do.

So it's a red herring to ask that my government, spending MY money do so within the parameters of their binding governing document that they swear to uphold? You have some funny ideas on what government should be able to do friend.

We already have Air superiority over Russia and China. The wright bros had Air superiority over N.Korea.:peace

So it's a red herring to ask ....
Uh....you and I were talking about Pentagon vs Ag "waste", you see the "magnitude" of the difference...and now you are going off into the weeds since your "points" are impotent.

We cannot defund all of the extra-constitutional agencies and departments. But we can insist on real cuts. In the first year we can have a real 10% reduction on busybody bureaucrats enforcing busybody rules. We can reduce their operating budgets and their manpower ceilings. We can insist on budget cuts for the optional agencies that rival the ones for the mandatory agencies.

Do you believe that everyone is "static"?

Can you tell me how many engineers, physicists, and mathematicians are working on the stealthy aircraft problem in Russia? Can you describe the results of the last dozen flight tests for airframes that are not yet in full rate production? Can you identify the synergistic effects of near-stealthy and stealthy aircraft combined with better radars? Can you tell me what the next five years will be like for each of our opponents? What about the next ten years?

where are you going to find enough loons in the house to implement these measures?the republicans lost six seats in the general, mostly teabagger loons. the sane republicans are not going along with that loony agenda.just ask bohner.
