Westboro Meets Its Match: Thousands Sign Retaliatory Petitions

If WBC is a hate group, it's not entitled to the exemptions afforded a church (I don't think churches should be tax exempt either, but that's another story).
Please cite the section of US Code that creates and defines the category "hate group" and authorizes removal of such groups from tax-exempt status.

Don't expect me to wait around, though. You'll be looking for a good long time.

So yes, the individuals of the church assembled, associated, and lackprotested on public land. As is their right, I don't see how that's entanglement of Church and State just because it may happen on public land.

Some do tend to confuse the rights of the individual to stand on a soap box and state his views with the rights of religion and/or churches, which the Constitution only as the lack of a right for the government to establish a religion. Westboro is no different than the soap box preacher yelling the end is near.

I hate the Westboro bastards and what they stand for, but I hate the idea that I might not be able to stand on my soap box and yell my opinions, and any idea that I should be forced to join a state religion is worse.

If they are coming to your area, check your truck out. Who knows, it might just stall in back of the Westboro van, and mufflers have been known to fall off Harleys.
