26 reported killed in Newtown [W:72/89]

I think you need to back up a bit and calm down.

From where I sit at least, you appear to be overexcited.

Attempts at rational discussion usually work best when the participants are at least somewhat calm.

Overexcited? I think that's just a nice way of saying stoned out of your gourd, lol.

Useless.

On that I must agree.

My question still remains , perhaps a bit more specific.

Are you actually telling me that gun owners and those that support the 2nd amendment "as do I" are not even willing to have the NRA, Conservatives, Liberals gun owners or any other organization or any body even look into gun control or background checks to see if there is some way to keep innocent people and kids from being killed with a gun, or not even try???:peace

The problem is that said question is political now.

Some people/politicians have examined the idea and come to the conclusion that no form of gun control will improve matters.
Whereas others have a desire to restrict gun ownership as much as possible.

And probably several shades in between.

Point is, I'm not sure any solid data one way or another exists - so it's all opinion really.

I remind you sir that corporations ask for money to save their companies in 2008 the investigation did not take long even though America was in a recession at the time.
There is an old saying "if at first you don't succeed try try again " or QUIT.

This whole debate as been based on the fact that nothing can be done or if something was done the one side that wants lesser gun control would not be happy or the ones that wanted to abolish guns would be unhappy.

Neither is my wish or intent .
1 I support the 2nd amendment I have said this so why would I want to take guns away
2. I also support a person being able to go to a movie theater or kids going to school without being shot and killed.
3. There has been more than one law that has sort of stepped over the Constitution that is fact history has proven that more than once.
So if something can not be done to fix this so both sides will agree then one side will be unhappy but trust me it won't be the first time in History that an amendment to the Constitution was tampered with and changed, and a new law was passed.:peace
