Italian court convicts 7 for no quake warning

I saw that this a.m. what a bizarre story. On the plus side, it is Italy so you get endless appeals.

Seriously?

As my personal disclosure: There may or may not be an earth quake near you today, tomorrow or in the near/distant future that may or may not cause damage and may or may not create a dangerous situation that you may or may not want to avoid.

Allí pueda o no pueda ser un temblor de la tierra cerca de usted hoy, mañana o en el futuro cerca de/lejano que puede o no puede causar que daño y poder o no puede crear una situación peligrosa que usted puede o no puede querer evitar.

Seriously?

Unfortunately yes, it is seriously true and also seriously ridiculous and seriously criminal towards the scientists.

But only in a country like Italy would this be possible. I actually saw some lady proclaim that justice had been done because normally scientists and government officials get away with it.

I thought it is fine to be grief stricken but to be totally stupid as to blame scientists for not predicting earth quakes is simply insane.

I hope they will get acquitted in a higher court because this judge should be ashamed of himself for having ruled the way he has.
