OK, he got one guy. BFD. How about the rest of the Islamic world?

The guy who was responsible for 9/11How is that not a BFD?

Which do you think costs more.....Drone strikes or up close and personal? Okay.....so we have been killing the host of Number 2 men now for half a year? Has that the Number 2 setteled in yet? How many more number 2's killed before it does?

Do you think bombing others in Countries that one has not declared War on should be considered a Lawful Action? Do you hold the same concepts when innocent people are killed from those strikes?

Actually, we have been killing the rank and file terrorists for 4 years. The drone missions have been successful with very little collateral damage. As for it being lawful, it seems to be because the UN has not weighed in and declared it unlawful. We also have the cooperation from the governments we are conducting drone strikes in. As for the innocent people who are killed from these strikes, it is not good, but the efford to keep collateral damage down is to be commended. It is much better than waging war or just turning a blind eye to the problem.

The actions of a handful of Muslims do not represent everyone else in those countries.

A "hand full?" This is just one location. Multiply this by 23 and that's a very conservative estimation.

I guess the proper response is that no-radical Christians in the USA are not going on rampages and killing people randomly. It seems to be a pathology limited to the radical muslims. Some news report noted that these jihadists live under authoritarian regimes and they could not conceive that some independent idiot could produce a film making funny of their prophet WITHOUT government approval and support so that is why they blame the USA. I suspect they blame the USA because they hate anything not radical muslim though

It's good to hear someone understands how news travels in some of these countries. THey do not have freedom of the press, so they are spoon fed things that make the US look bad and that inflames these things causing riots and such. Because of the Arab Spring, a lot of these people are finally able to protest and use their freedom of speech, and it is easy for me to see how that can be misguided given it is a new experience for most of them. I think, if you look back on US history, the same was true during our revolt from England. It takes time to change how people think and once these people learn to think more critically, we will see these things happen.

So we should take away their right to free speech because they get upset about ours?

The guy who was responsible for 9/11How is that not a BFD?

OBL had been out of the loop of decision making for a long time. His effectiveness as a terrorist had long since passed. Killing him was anti-climactic.

What about the rest of the Islamic world? Now Obama needs to deal with them effectively. Unfortunately, I don't think he can.

Are you willing to be the next sacrificial lamb?

No.....I am the one that says their Religious Leaders who called them to violence, should be out there Calming things down. That they should be reading from their good book about not attacking the innocent while standing in front of the Embassies.

I doubt they would agree. Obama increased drone strikes and has brought down a lot of the terrorist leaders. ANd, he did all this without starting a new war.

It appears the war has started.

I have more skin in this game than most. Yes, I would be willing to take my son's place who is in the Middle East right now. I suppose that's why I see how harmful this situation is and how angry I get at the radical Christians in this country who claim they have a right to freedom of speech. Yes, they have that right, but doing things to stir up a hornets nest in the Middle East only puts our people in more danger. I can not tell you how sleepless my nights are now that there is more unrest over there.

You stated a "hand full." That's nowhere near reality. Why downplay a world-wide situation like this?

Islamofascist rioters and murderers are only a handful. They don't represent the countries they live in. Just like occu-tards do not represent Americans, they are only a fringe.

Obama said he would get the people who killed Americans. WOuld you rather him start several new wars? How forceful do you want him to be?

The gap between what Obama SAYS and what Obama DOES is canyon-wide.

As for wars, if the situation warrants it -- attacks on embassies ARE acts of war. It should be as forceful as it needs to be to stop it and make sure no one tries it again. Talking will not accomplish this.

There's the actual world, and then there's the fantasy world. I live in the former.

Yeah.....I can see where they would confuse Germans and Americans. :2razz:

Best wishes for your son's safe return home.

There is no way all Americans are responsible for the behavior of those across the world who want to kill us. Our freedoms can't be compromised for their zealotry.

This film is just an excuse for them to reveal how they really feel about all Americans, and how many there are willing to kill.

Have you not seen the photos? It's happening around the world. Why do you insist on downplaying this violence?

To refer to this violence as being perpetrated by a "handful" is detached from reality.

Your poll was based on 1000 people. "Opposition to outside aid has grown stronger over time, the poll of 1,000 respondents showed" .:lamo As usual you show nothing that is probative of your statement.
Rofl, beating at straws, intentionally dishonest and shoddy; I see nothing has changed with you.

Read the statements I made and then go read the poll again, while I do take all these polls of Arabs from Americans and American organizations with a grain of salt, the staggering percentage of people against American aid in that poll is consistent with the people I've met throughout my years in Egypt.

You really have to do better when attempting to cast aspersions regarding US efforts in Egypt.

I can't bring my self to care about Americans or even Egyptians to be honest, am only telling as it is, you should try that sometimes.

i have to agree with JetBoogieman here, these are tactics Nazi Germany used against Partisans in Russia,Italy and Yugoslavia to dreadful results. All they did was create more recruits for the Partisans and forced them to commit more and more troops that were badly needed elsewhere.
Nonsense. They are the tactics of a nation at war with a political-religious entity. One does not kill the snakes individually. Once cleans out the nests of vipers.
