Iran says may retaliate for Canada's "hostile" cut in ties

im not asking you to "cry me a river". No one is questioning American soldiers and their sacrifice but you came on this thread and insulted Canada and then insulted all your allies who have died fighting alongside America.

People insult America all the time, but you never say anything about that.

If you don't want me saying things you don't like about foreign soldiers, don't throw their corpses in my face in an attempt to shut me down. Should have just left them out of the conversation.

You've disrected ours. So, tough...

When the hell did I do that?

You can see my thoughts on this right here.

In America, it's known as Veterans Day, in France Armistice day, in Britain and Canada Remembrance Day, but whatever you call it, it is a day for us to pause and reflect on the conflicts that have passed, and the lives that have been lost, that have so violently shaped our nations for a century.

It can be easy to take for granted the freedom and relative peace that we experience each day in our respective nations and what it took to get to this place. We like to think we live in troubled times, but taking a moment to reflect I can scarcely imagine what my great grandparents must have thought about their time. Hitler was on the doorstep of Britain, beckoning to invade, Europe completely overun. How did he feel as he flew his glider on D-Day 1944 to land at Pegasus Bridge. What stories might I have heard, what lessons might I have learned had he not died very shortly after my birth. A picture of him and his uniform adorns the Pegasus Bridge Memorial in Normandy.

Many people have stories like these, World War One and Two especially enrolled entire Generations in war, whether it was at home or abroad it left no one untouched, it left so many families without sons, brothers, fathers and husbands. It brought us face to face with the most gruesome and bloody episodes of human nature, not only on the battlefield, but as Russian and Allied armies discovered Concentration camps where human beings were eliminated in a cold and industrial fashion that shook the very core of our humanity, and brought forth with it a trial for it's perpetrators that was to be the first of it's kind, and ushered in a new era in International Law.

The soldiers that served day after day in muddy trenches, that stormed the beaches of Normandy, that braved island after island of the Pacific Ocean, that pushed through the hills of Korea, that on this day fight together in the Mountains and valleys of Afghanistan, whatever ones feelings are on the conflicts, our service men and women deserve our respect and our gratitude for doing a job most of us simply could not do. They are our shield, our core, that defend our nation, our people and most importantly our democracy.

To all those who died, we remember you and we will never forget you.

To all our allied service men and women, wherever they may be throughout the globe, know that we are thinking of you and we are grateful for what you do everyday.

Lest we forget

That's the word, I stick to it.

Oh get over it you baby. He was giving you a good ribbing, which is nothing new between Americans and Canadians.

You got your panties twisted over it and tried throwing numbers at him. So he owned you with numbers back. Now you want to act all indignant.

apdst, your posts in this thread are an embarrassment to all the brave men and women who have fought and died in Iraq and Afghanistan in the past decade. I'm ashamed to see that kind of callous cruelty displayed by an American. :(

Just expressing an opinion about the Canadian government. I'm not the one that started dragging dead bodies into the discussion.

Using dead troops as political fodder is a purdy cheap shot, IMO.

sorry what? I informed you of the sacrifices of Canada (after you insulted them and accused them of being cowards) and you deceided to question how many actually died in action. Know one threw corpses in your face you just embarrased youself. Ironic though that I often see you defending Isreal to the death on this site but I ask you how many soldiers did they offer after 9/11?

no he insulted Canada by accusing them of beign cowards, I informed him of the number of dead Canadians in Afghan and he responded by brushing if off as nothing...read the thread buddy and im sure most people would agree I wasnt "throwing corpses at him"

You just rephrased what I said.

He was just giving the 51st State a good ribbing. You got your panties twisted and 'informed' him of your deaths. Threw corpses at him. I doubt he would have brushed it off as he did had you not been throwing it in his face.

BTW, I don't really care what others think ;)

well no I didnt. I wasnt throwing corpses at anyone I was letting apst know about the sacrifices Canada and many other allies have endured over the last 10 years because he was ignoring them. Huge difference

How are they going to retaliate exactly were on the other side of the world.

The fact is, your being offended by a good ribbing is what makes it throwing corpses.

Your post of the number of Canadian casualties was in direct reply to him ribbing Canada. It was not like you later informed him, you intentionally threw the corpses at him in reply.

lol have you even read his responses to Jetboogieman's videos of Canadian troops fighting or the list of their dead?

You mean all the stuff that followed you throwing corpses at him?

I don't expect people to reply rationally when corpses are thrown in their face.

there were no corpses thrown in anyone face and im sure most people on here would vouch for me on that. He insulted Canada and called them cowards, I informed him that Canada had lost men in Afghan supporting America, he brushed that off and mocked their sacrifice. If you are unable to see that then I guess Apdst has another bunkmate in the looney bin!

Just because you keep repeating the same thing is not going to change how I perceive your reply. Fact is 158 corpses were thrown in his face. I never said he didn't brush it off or mock them. I specifically said, in the reply you just quoted, that I do not expect him to reply rationally after having 158 corpses thrown in his face.

If you wanted him to respect your dead, you shouldn't have thrown them in his face.

Its attitudes like this that keeps us from letting you become a State.

well im british so we would not want to be a state....
Also if someone accuses a county of being cowards and "licking American ass" and you respond with informing them of the sacrifices of that country it is not " throwing corpses" in someones face its educating them about that country and defending an ally! If a frenchmen came on here and mocked Americas part in ww2 and you responded with the amount of casulities it took to free France would that also be "throwing corpses in his face" or would that be a basic history lesson?

yep, you know way canada is never attacked because in reality its no different than attacking us :)

or any western nation! They still have my queen on their coins lol

That's a damn lie. I enver accused anyone of being a coward.

Neither are our's. I know that, because we lost way more troops, because our men took the fight to the enemy, rather than sit on the side lines holding the flanks.

In all seriousness though they can have Toronto if they want.

But they better keep their hands off the rest of the country

I will fully support their invasion and sacking of Winnipeg!

As far as the Iranians are concerned. Talk is cheap. But they are not stupid and would not start a war over the issue. Doesnt mean they wouldn't talk shiznit about Canada tho! Problem is the Iranians have never been good at the Diss!

Why would any country want to hurt Diet America? I've been there a few times in Vancouver and its ****ing awesome! There money is so silly and their gas seems like it cost less when you see the sign but it doesn't. They are right on top of us and have all this whacky ****. If Iran seriously means to do harm to our northern brahs we're gonna have a brodown with Iran. Silly Iran, tricks are for kids!

Rob Furlong--the Candian shooter--was using US ammo. And, were shooting an American made McMillan TAC-50 rifle, too. :rofl

I remember seeing an interview of Furlong and he talked about much hotter American rounds were compared to those he was issued by the RCA. He admitted that he couldn't have made the shot with RCA issue ammunition.

Aaron Perry--a member of Furlong's sniper team--was also investigated by the RCA for this trouble, too.
