Obama Warns Syria on Chemical Weapons

We can't police the world after selling $66 billion in weaponry every year.

That was the complaint in Afghanistan that all these U.S. made weapons ended up in terrorist hands.

I agree, and currently we need to focus inwards a bit, in order to regain our standing with the world as well as our own people's confidence in the government.

Focus inwards a bit?

The Pentagon budget now is around $700 billion a year, adding intelligence agencies.

The spending for defense is around a trillion a year if you add interest, and health care for servicemen.

If that defense spending were cut in half, how many jobs could be created with the $500 billion a year saved, when we have 15 million unemployed?

U.S. Arms Sales Make Up Most of Global Market:shock:
By THOM SHANKER
Published: August 26, 2012

"WASHINGTON — Weapons sales by the United States tripled in 2011 to a record high, driven by major arms sales to Persian Gulf allies concerned about Iran’s regional ambitions, according to a new study for Congress.

Overseas weapons sales by the United States totaled $66.3 billion last year, or more than three-quarters of the global arms market, valued at $85.3 billion in 2011. "

You'd also cost a lot of jobs though in the process. Government spending on defense creates huge numbers of jobs down the supply chain and indirect spending.

Don't ya just love how that NYT article was worded?

Weapons purchases were because of "Gulf allies worried about Irans regional ambitions" ...

What a load of bull. U.S. foreign aid is predicated that those receiving it spend 60% of it, on average, by building the foreign aid recipient on defense capability on U.S. made weapons. The deal is completely taxpayer subsidized and a corrupt kickback.

That is the problem with the U.S. corporate newspapers. They are complete Big Brother newspeak and lies, and people wonder why govmnt never delivers on promised reforms, the newspapers and TV are completely corrupted brainwashing from the Party.

I think I'll go join the Junior Anti-Sex League.

(rare version starring Peter Cushing, a must see)

Syria is devolving into a fractured government. Won't be long until people talk about East Syria and West Syria.

That is exactly the kind of bull I am talking about.

We hear these lies about Syria - "sectarian violence", "civil war"
used by the Big Brother Ministry of Truth, when its your Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obomber slaughtering those innocent families there by giving arms, military advisers, and equipment to the Free Syrian Army.

Not arms. Only 'non lethal' assistance.
