Court: Texas can cut off Planned Parenthood funds[W:104, W:111]

The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," - Margret Sanger, Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)

http://library.lifedynamics.com/Birth%20Control%20Review/1921-11%20November.pdf

It's the title of the first article on the second page, after of course their plea for more money...

The mass of ignorant Negroes still breed carelessly and disastrously, so that the increase among Negroes, even more than the increase among whites, is from that portion of the population least intelligent and fit, and least able to rear their children properly. W.E.B. DuBois, Birth Control Review, June 1932. Quoted by Sanger in her proposal for the "Negro Project."

We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. And the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

this racist eugenicist and her work should be burned to the ground and the earth salted... she makes me sick.

She was a racist but it's silly to throw out everything she did with BC because of that. Lincoln was a racist so does that mean we repeal the EP?

Anti-choice?I am for all kinds of choices.I support a woman's right to choose to use adequate birth control and her right to chose to not engage in recreational sex if her partner is not using adequate protection. I support a woman's right to choose to give the baby up for adoption once its born if she doesn't want a baby. I support a woman's right to choose to exercise her 2nd amendment rights without any infringements just like our founding fathers intended. I support a woman's right to choose to use marijuana whether or recreational use or for medical use. I support a woman's right to use school vouchers to send her kids to private school. I support all kinds of other choices.

See I play semantics with the term pro-choice just like many abortionist such as yourself like to play semantics with the term pro-life.

The anti choice crowd has been abusing the "pro life" term long enough. I'm just accurately describing their position on abortion.

This shouldn't be a problem. The Libbos support Planned Parenthood and will be pumping millions of their own dollars into it. Right?

Hmmm ... on the surface this sounds racist. However, educate me, WHAT DOES US LOOK LIKE?

A L

It's much easier to take a nation to war against other nations that don't look like them. What part of that is a mystery?

Sounds like STATES RIGHTS to me.

Ever been a victim of a violent crime? Might change your outlook.

Hmmm ... First I knew that WE "kill thousands of innocent women and children. I was always under the impression that the folks that DECLARED WAR ON THE US (aka Bin Laden & company) were the one's killing innocents by the thousands. The names Qaddafi and Assad also seem to ring a bell ... but then we didn't invade there (or did we?).

A L

Afghanistan and Iraq never attacked us.

No but it means we don't put into practice his ideas about shipping African Americans back to Africa.

But I'm sure PP is all better now....

...The revelation a few weeks ago that Planned Parenthood employees had encouraged telephone donations from callers hoping to facilitate abortions of black babies — money that was "offered" from members of an anti-abortion group at UCLA — led to a quick apology from the family planning organization. Planned Parenthood said its employees made a "serious mistake" in encouraging the donations...

And the fact that Blacks make up twice as large a portion of Abortions in America as they do births is just this weird strange coincidence.

Because no one believes in that kind of stuff anymore.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said:
Frankly, I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of.

So, other clinics who do not provide abortion services will get the money and provide medical services to the poor. Excellent.

And which clinics would those be? Has the Texan government provided a list to the roughly 65 000 Texan women who are using Planned Parenthood to go to, or is this really not about helping women but pushing through an ideological agenda?

If you're poor and cannot pay for an abortion or afford to raise a child, here's a clue - don't get pregnant.

Here's a clue for you: the funds were not for abortion. Planned Parenthood do provide contraceptive services which would have helped reduced unwanted pregnancy.

How do you compare shipping people to Africa to BC?

we don't have to be circumspect with all of racist people's ideas - just their ideas regarding race.

That is what I was saying about Sanger

The anti choice crowd has been abusing the "pro life" term long enough. I'm just accurately describing their position on abortion.

The pro-abortion crowd has been abusing the "pro-choice" term long enough. I am just accurately describing their position on abortion. See how that works?

Yeah, except Planned Parenthood also provides birth control and contraceptives to help poor people not get pregnant. Which is all the more reason to continue funding to them.

So provide all of those other services and divorce yourself from the abortion issue. People that really want an abortion can find a place to have one on their own.

But it doesn't work. Pro-choice is an accurate description. If you are on the other side of that position you are anti choice. Pretty simple stuff man.

The lady in Dirty Dancing learned that one the hard way.

And?? That does nothing to my point. When the government granted themselves the power to fund private organizations(it's not actually in the Constitution) they also gave themselves the power to take it away.

If you really want to fight this issue you lose on all accounts. The federal government does not have the power to fund PP and when they breached the constitution to give themselves this power they also took the power to take it away.

If you completely ignore the real-world implications of such funding, yeah, sure...

It's very easy to say "It's not in the Constitution!" and have that be the conversation ender. It's harder to consider the real-life impact of funding PP.

PP isn't the only one who runs free clinics. And no, I don't suppose Texas did let these folks know where to shop for free services. I imagine they'll do the leg work themselves if there really is the need.

Here's a clue for you: the funds were not for abortion. Planned Parenthood do provide contraceptive services which would have helped reduced unwanted pregnancy.

Here's a clue for you, the state does not have to support abortion, period. If you're saying the majority of PP's mission is to be a condom provider, then machines would and should easily replace them. It comes down to this, if they continue to provide abortions they don't get public funding. Why don't you and all your buds get off yer duffs and send them some money if you're so hot to support them. Do it with your own dollars.

You still haven't answered the question WHAT DO US LOOK LIKE?. And because of you obfuscation ... here's another WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO ANSWER A QUESTION?

The EP freed the slaves, PP is commiting soft genocide... (Abortions hit blacks at more than 3X the rate of whites and more than 2X the rate of any other race*, and this was a stated purpose of miss Sanger)

Maggie Sanger had a special place in her heart for the black community... it was the darkest most hate filled corner of it.

If the EP was about enslaving people again I would stand against it, and want it repealed, just as my family did when slavery was legal in the US.

*50 per 1000 for blacks, 14 per 1000 for whites, and 22 per 1000 for all other races.

So the Texan government left those 65 000 women to deal with the results of their actions on their own, which indicates that it's not about helping those women at all.

Giving people factually incorrect information is not "clue", since you seem to believe it yourself, it appears to be ignorance. Even without this law, Texas does not provide funding for abortion. There are more to contraceptive services than "condom provider", you ought to educate yourself on that. $35m of that money comes from the Federal Government which is everyone's dollar. All Americans can lobby their local government to fund the programme they support and the federal government to institute policies within the bound of the constitution, that is their democratic right. It is idiotic to argue that funding for programmes should only come from donation, if so many essential services would be cut, not the least of which is defense. I can and have donated to Planned Parenthood.

So? Who is supposed to deal with own own actions - ourselves that's who. And just what services are those 65,000 women missing, be verbose. What is it they cannot get at any other free clinic?

I know precisely why PP was formed and what their mission is. Eugenics, it was Sanger's crusade. And yes, I love how you argue against yourself, all Americans can lobby their government, and they have. Now because of that lobbying PP doesn't get public funding in Texas.

Now that you've let us know the sky is falling, perhaps you can list those "essential services" provided exclusively by PP.

Pro-choice is not a accurate description. It implies that you are for people being able to make all kinds of choices. But you people are only pro-choice when it comes to abortion. So pro-abortion is a accurate description since it describes those who are for abortion being legal.Since my side is called pro-life then I should call your side pro-death or pro-babykiller.
