When it's a mosque in NY city, it's a clear monument to the triumph over the infidels on 9/11, a throwback to the Muslim tradition of building mosques on conquered Christian lands. Obviously!
When it's Christians who say they're sending a message to local Muslims who want to build a mosque, then it's all "whoa whoa whoa, let's not jump to conclusions!"
Wait so radical Christians acting like buttheads is morally equivalent to radical muslims killing 3000 people? Not saying all muslims or all christians are the same but there arent very many radical Christians engaging in terrorism. Only notable exception in the last century was in the UK with Catholics and Protestants. HATE resorting to this argument but you brought the NYC Mosque into this clusterfark, not me.
Btw the church...its already there. The situations are a little different. They are heightening the visibility of their symbols of their religion, but they are within their rights to do so. Stupid to do so with the stated purpose but within their rights to do it.
