Obama signs Israel military aid bill on eve of Romney visit

what do you mean "whatever"???

posting links to anti-Semitic websites doesn't mean anything to you?
Are you seriously still saying anti-semetic? is that all you got as a rebuttal to truth and facts?

To try and shift the conversation away from whether American children are starving, hungry, or enduring a unique DoH definition of hungry...

I generally support Israel, and US support for Israel. Without getting into my current frustrations with the Israeli government, as well as our approach towards them, I'll just say I have been a critic of the method in which we allocate aid to Israel. The country has a defense budget of over 50.6 billion NIS, and a national budget of nearly 260 billion NIS. The reliance on free money from the US which has invariably amounted to about 4-11 billion NIS has led to an avoidance of fiscal responsibility and an explosion of worthless and adventurous acquisitions. It is support that has long outlived its usefulness and is now merely used as a gauge of support for Jerusalem. It is about time that Israel begin to seriously prioritize its defense issues, only after that happens and on a circumstantial basis should aid be revisited. That being said I think it makes sense for the US to fund as a whole or in partnership programs like Iron Dome due to the macro implications of such a system, and the spin-off benefits.

I advocate a 'smart' approach.

Then Nancy gets one right (or wrong considering on how you look at it) for a change:

House minority leader Nancy Pelosi said that she believes Republican Jews are "being exploited," but she was sure to add, "And they're smart people."

Pelosi Says Republicans Use Israel to Distract (Transcript) - Bloomberg

Pelosi is right. A very wealthy right-wing American Jew is currently flooding the airwaves with ads directed at Jews, trying to paint Obama as bad for Israel..and dangerous to Israel. He is also donating VAST sums of money to Republican candidates.

But we are a smart people, and we see through crap pretty easily.

I'm insulted, but I'm not surprised Nancy Pelosi doesn't understand how anyone let alone Jews could believe something other than the perspective that she comes from.

I SAW what you did...keep trying...:lamo

err....what did me do?

Thread's about Obama, Romney and Israel. NOT Sheldon Adelson or campaign donations...but of course you knew that.

Please try harder to stay on topic...;)

my response was in the context of the post I replied to.

Please...point out the context...Ms. Pelosi said nothing about 'A very wealthy right-wing American Jew'...or...flooding the airwaves with ads directed at Jews'...or...'donating VAST sums of money to Republican candidates'....but of course I may have missed it...

Please, point it out SPECIFICALLY...

I was mentioning a related by slightly different event.

ok, so Romney is trying to buy right-wing Jewish votes.

this always happens. its nothing new.

Dude, you are flailing badly. Pelosi said nothing about 'Romney is trying to buy right-wing Jewish votes' and Sheldon Adelson was giving profusely to Newt before Romney.

Give it up, you have failed your task of linking relevence/related points...done

...though Romney is trying to buy Jewish votes by going to Israel.

Yeah, and Pres. Obama signing the mil. aid bill prior to his trip is TRUELY buying Jewish votes...which is the theme of this thread...thanks for circling back...;)

OK, it's a good bill, but my point here is in the timing of this. Obama waits until the eve of Romney's visit to Israel to spring this on him. America's relationships should not be held hostage to political gamesmanship.

Obama = Douche Bag!!

Article is here.

Yeah, I'm sure that's how this went down...
