I never said it was just now! LOLOLOLOLOL!
Really? Any medical tests to back that claim up? Doubt it.

He was a radical then and you still deem him a radical. He really can't win with you, can he? Please provide me further analysis of this Romney / Obama ("Robamney") hyper partisanship.
He doesn't support a terrorist organization. Hamas, by the standards of the UN, is a terrorist organization, as is Israel. Then again, from your avatar, we can all see what you think about the UN. I am unsure of any factual basis that the U.S. used to label Hamas a "terrorist organization" that couldn't be applied to Israel.

:spin: Hamas is a terrorist organization, Israel isn't.

A former U.S. president is accusing the current president of sanctioning the "widespread abuse of human rights" by authorizing drone strikes to kill suspected terrorists.
Jimmy Carter, America's 39 th president, denounced the Obama administration for "clearly violating" 10 of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, writing in a New York Times op-ed on Monday that the "United States is abandoning its role as the global champion of human rights."
"Instead of making the world safer, America's violation of international human rights abets our enemies and alienates our friends," Carter wrote. Jimmy Carter Accuses U.S. of 'Widespread Abuse of Human Rights' - Yahoo! News
Is there any question that Jimmy Carter has either an agenda or is a loon?
Look, I don't like Obama in the least. But if you agree with Carter, then Obama has committed human rights violations. Frankly, I don't think that's the case, other opinions differ.
I wish that Seal Team 6 would have captured Osama bin Laden & brought him to Justice, I wish that rather than killing the top leadership of al Quada with drones (& colateral damage) a Team had captured them live, to stand trial. But I can live with the results.
I wish President Obama had gotten the votes to close Gitmo, but as we all know the R's filibustered it, so I can't blame the president. eace

Well, he was never the sharpest tack anyway. He has ceaselessly sought to vindicate his failed presidency and himself by presuming to be the conscience of a nation with even less success than his presidency.
LOL! Carter was one of the brightest presidents. His sin was that he refused to get down in the mud with the slime in Washington. Carter was/is grounded morally and ethically. He has not sold out. He has remained true to his principles.
Huh.....running a special ops.....and securing their release finally through negotiations....was "sinful"...I guess.Imo, his sin was that he was a coward in dealing with the issue of Iran holding Americans hostage.

Um, you need to revisit that history, 13 were released in 1979, 52 were released as Reagan was sworn in, the efforts and success in releasing them rests with the Carter admin.Ummm, the Iranians were released after Carter left- probably because they knew Reagan wouldn't have put up with their ****. Carter was a foreign policy failure.
Both stumble with their energy policies. How can Obama win with gas prices going so high?

Tribalism is one of the facets of conservative thinking. The problem is that this form of loyalty can get in the way of objective analysis and it often does.

On the other hand, compare that with the efforts of the Reagan admin in the Iran-Contra affair.
I bet you won't.
You mean Republicans?
Oh well, you are looping back to the start of this conversation in spite of the fact that Carter did try to militarily act, resulting in the deaths of many Marines....from and act of god.No, it's pretty widely known that Carter is historically sympathetic with terrorists in the ME region. He was a coward when it came to dealing with securing the release of Americans held hostage in Iran.
LOL, you contradict yourself ( YOU are talking about Reagan, as you have been throughout our debate) and totally forget that Reagan approved an illegal scheme to trade advanced US weapons to REAL TERRORISTS for their hostages.Otoh, Iran knew that Reagan would not play politics with them, was not sympathetic with them, and would not tolerate their bull****.
Start a thread about it. This one is about Carter.
There are many people who will claim that Bush and even Nixon were good presidents. Please, someone claim that Carter was a good president; I think we'll all have a laugh.
