"Only 13.6% of those surveyed said business conditions are good at the current time, and only 7.9% believe that jobs are plentiful. Both readings were down from surveys in the previous two months."

"There was one slight sign of improvement: 15.2% of those surveyed by the Conference Board said they thought their own income would be better in six months than it is today, up from 13.9% in April"

Consumer confidence falls to 5-month low - May. 29, 2012

"The Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan index of consumer sentiment jumped to 79.3 in May, up from 76.4 in the previous month.

"American consumers appear to be more focused on the U.S. economy than on Europe's financial crisis"

U.S. consumer confidence highest in 4 1/2 years

So who do you believe, the Right or the Left?

Ask your friends, family, coworkers, the average person walking down the street or someone at your favorite hangout or store.

Forget the stupid media, make a wise choice with your vote :)

I think the question you should be asking is: so who do you believe, the largely dishonest left or the occasionally honest left? And careful with your thread titles. You can/will pick up infractions for ignoring the rules. And I don't believe either of them, it's probably worse than either reports.

I'd bet the low, none of the crucial economic indicators as of late would point to a sudden spike in consumer confidence.
