CAPE CANAVERAL – A private company sent its unmanned capsule off to the International Space Station early Tuesday, heading for what could be the first nongovernmental docking there.
If successful, this could herald a new era in space flight. While NASA will continue it's mission to explore other planets, the heavy lifting of supplies, and eventually astronauts, could be done by private enterprise. Thus government and private enterprise could both be partners in the next evolution of space flight. Who would gain the most from this symbiosis? The taxpayers, of course.
