Louisiana is the world's prison capital

This summary from Wiki should help. Its been going on for at least 30 years. It's a real growth industry. Of course, the states own many prisons and contract out the management as well, so there's more than the article explains.

And it is also a problem. There has been cases of where judges/prosecutors have worked hand in hand with the industry to steer people to such facilities .. with compensation going to the judges/prosecutors of course... One of the worst cases was this one..

U.S. Judges Admit to Jailing Children for Money

God only knows what else is going on...

And then Kurt Russell has to go in and save the Presidents daughter right?

Yeah, but this time he takes the Expendables with him.

We need more executions.

Maybe we should have put Sheriff Arpaio and Saddam Hussein in charge of the prison system. That would be a combination of tents, pink jumpsuits and woodchippers.

How long has this been going on? Privatizing prisons? I saw a movie about this several years ago, and remembered even then that this would be a terrible idea, such a huge opportunity for corruption.

Hell, darilin', we broke 'em here in Arizona. The entire idea is ridiculous. Lower recidivism is the private prison industry's worst enemy. Private prisons are warehousing, plain and simple.

We need more executions.

Execute non violent offenders?
Guarantee most of those people are in jail for slinging dope or other drugs. You know non-violent crimes.

Yeah, but this time he takes the Expendables with him.

And they all get shot trying due to the time it takes to set up their walkers and wheelchairs upon hitting the landing zone.
