Sad to hear, a true legend in the automotive world.

Bummer, I knew the guy. I went to high school with his grandson.

Bill Cosby's old routine based on his real life meeting with Shelby and his purchase of one of two special models.

The Cobra WAS a car until Ford bought it out and turned it into a glorified Mustang.

RIP. i've always admired (and lusted after) the cars he designed.

To be honest...I was never a fan of the Shelby stangs. His crowning glory was the original cobra, a proper roadster/track demon. After that, I feel like Shelby slapped his name on a good deal of things just to move product. For the money, Roush builds a faster, better looking stang...and has for years. And with the 2001 mustang cobra R, I'd say Ford is no slouch, either. But Shelby sure made one hell of a roadster!
