Yeah, damn those bastards who had the nerve to die while in his custody. Shame on those women and little girls who, with no consideration of Arpaio's political future, decided to get raped and not have their sexual abuses investigated, though they were reported. How dare Arpaio's opponents complain because he puts them under overt surveillance, investigates them on false suspicion, refuses to provide information to the Feds who are investigating Arpaio for all of the above and more.

I don't know, maybe it's me. While the reported sexual attacks in El Mirage went uninvestigated Arpaio staged raids on places like Chevy's Restaurant. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but I'd much rather cops investigate sexual assaults than raid Mexican restaurants looking for illegals. With many of the assaults happening in an around El Mirage it may be that one or several serial rapists were/are involved. We don't know because Arpaio decided there wasn't any real media or political value investigating rapes while he'd make the news raiding restaurants.

As a side note - do a web search and find out how many high end businesses, how many of the more expensive restaurants, how many private country clubs Arpaio raided compared to the rest. All that is going to come out in the investigation by the Feds, which has been on-going for quiet a while.

He has nothing to be worried about. The only way they are getting rid of him is if they make a age limit for sheriff, Term limit of sheriff or bad health or death prevents him from running for another term. The scumbag sympathizers have done people everywhere a favor by putting this man in the spotlight.Because of that people everywhere know that you don't have to give inmates lot of channles tv,You don't have to give inmates a wieghts or a weight room, You can work them in chain gangs, you don't have to give them air conditioning,you can feed them only bolagna sandwiches, inmates can only drink water and you can house inmates in tents.

We should treat those that hire illegals just like we do drug dealers and other criminals who profit from illegal activity and or use their money for illegal activity. Prison time and assets seizure and forfeiture.We should also revoked their ability to own and operate a business for a certian period of time once they get out of prison. An illegal can get six months in jail for the first offense and two years for the second time he or she is caught.So why not six months in prison for every illegal employed for the first time an employer is caught hiring illegals and 2 years in prison for every illegal employed the second time an employer is caught hiring illegals. No employer in their right mind would hire an illegal and would make sure they have documented their employee vetting process.

I'm sure you can't possibly be referring to the influx of civilians, because that would be intensely stupid and largely unsupportable under the laws of the US, or indeed, any country or international body of which I'm aware.

Why aren't you attacking the El Mirage police department, why are you attacking the county sheriff office instead?

* Witnesses were never questioned.

I liked his post because I agree with most or all of what he said.The majority of the 12-20 million plus illegals do come from Mexico.12-20 million trespassing into another country is an invasion.

400+ cases of sex crimes that were not investigated is "nothing compared to a (non-existent) invasion"? For some reason, I think the failure of a government agency (MCSO) to investigate crimes against a minority group just might cause members of the afflicted minority to lose faith in the government that is supposed to be protecting them.

Just a small follow up. wonder if it made the news in your area.

Among the 432 cases, 19 people have been arrested. Sheriff's officials say 116 cases were deemed to have no basis in fact to move forward or had accounts that didn't add up, and 224 cases were turned down by prosecutors or didn't have enough evidence to bring to prosecutors

and the estimate of illegal aliens in AZ is 460,000. So what number would it need to be to count as an "invasion"

The FBI and other law enforcement collect statical data on law breakers and use that information to create a "profile" for potential offenders. Ever take a course in statistics?

That's nice, but it doesn't support your apparent contention that the constitution authorizes otherwise unconstitutional police behavior simply because the police are attempting to curtail illegal immigration.
